That chase scene out of the back of the restaurant was super silly.

I don't remember any particularly gruesome scene, what was it?

Oh right I just thought it looked really bad as far as FX go with him looking at his arm. Otherwise I didn't think much of it so that must be why I didn't remember it.

Didn't care for this episode much. I did like the cross stitch scene even with the bad CGI. Alfred wanting to go it alone seemed odd because it puts Bruce in danger.

What is going on with the Penguin's hair? It gets more and more ridiculous each episode.

I still like the show but in this episode alone Jim was nearing Barbara levels of stupidity.

I thought this episode was really good.
The scene where Harvey tells Gordon that he thought all the good things he would do would take away the one bad thing was great. This show works best when it's examining moral questions like that.

This show is so hit and miss. Thankfully the good bits made up the bulk of the episode.
HIT:
Most of the Gordon story. The freed cop, the commish, the blackmail files, Penguin, the daughter, Bullock's regret, a lot of good plot and scenes here.
Bruce's scenes. I think they only had the initial one and Selena's appearance, but they were good scenes and made me wish we could move forward on both the Wayne board storyline in the short term and Bruce's development in the long.
MISS:
The chinese scene in the Gordon story. Just dumb.
The Riddler and Kringle scenes. I really hope these are going somewhere because they are so on the nose it becomes annoying to watch.
Fish. Some interesting bits with the medical experiments and the Dr, but I've just lost interest in the Fish character. She was mysterious, sensual and dangerous in Gotham, but with the rise from the basement story being so contrived I feel like I'm now looking at the emperor with no cloths.
