Gotham is so ludicrous, but I'd totally watch a sitcom with Barbara sharing an apartment with the future Poison Ivy and Catwoman.

Two and a Half Women with Barbara in the Jake role?

Yes, apparently they are also excellent people from whom to take advice on fashion in spite of wearing rags. You think there'd be a "um, who are you and why are you here moment, but evidently not. Apparently she continued to pay for it while she wasn't living there and the landlord didn't care that it was occupied by two minors. Where were they getting food? How much did she leave there?

Does Barbara become a criminal now that James Gordon is dating someone else?
She didn't technically do anything illegal, just really dumb.

Yes, well, drugs are bad. I learned that in school.

That's Crispus Allen, apparently a big character from the comics. Though what purpose Barbara serves on this show beyond showing off her legs, I've yet to discern. Montoya arbitrarily decided that she was bad for Barbara and left her to go back to Jim. Don't know where she grew a Conscience.

I wonder if the producers are building Barbara up to turn into their own villain? Possibly connected to a well-known villain that Batman eventually faces.

Maybe they are turning Barbara into a villain, but I got the feeling the scene was more about putting the idea in Selena's head than it was about Barbara. I'm hoping for the villain route because it would mean the writers at least have plans to do something with the character.

This ep was excellent, I didn't see fish or Alfred coming

This season has been outstanding.
