They spent a whole episode about how she needed a new car to drive to auditions, then she had a bad time shooting that one movie she was in, and next thing she was working pharmaceutical. It was odd. It's like they got tired of that particular storyline after seven years, so they just got rid of it by putting her in a more stable position. But like you said, they haven't done much with that either. And beyond being scared of Bernadette, she seems to have no qualifications for it whatsoever. Maybe they just wanted Penny to be able to stably stay in her apartment and spin stories there, but they haven't really done much with that either. It's weird, it came totally out of left field.

Have you ever seen pharmaceutical reps? Pretty sure they aren't hired for their pharmacology knowledge. Penny getting that gig based on looks is very much in the realm of reality.

Either way, it's been a waste.

I agree with Coral. It's basically turned into a skit show to showcase each character's quirk with no real story to tie them together.

Absolutely. It will undoubtedly include a Firefly reference so that's enough to make me happy.

Yeah pretty much. Sheldon is still over the top and clueless about common sense things, Amy is deprived of sex and her relationship with Sheldon has stayed pretty stagnant over the course of her being on the series, Raj has a girlfriend now but still takes the brunt of a lot of jokes about his relationship and his girlfriend is hardly even in many episodes, Leonard and Penny are still basically the same as they've been the majority of the series except that they're engaged and Penny has her new job. Really Howard is the only character who's somewhat changed from being a womanizer to now just being whipped by Bernadette and his mother.
