Re: Black Sails (S2E05) -- "XIII" -- 2/21/15
Just caught the episode. That certainly was not expected but I love it. Adds to the show and story instead of just telling another pirate story.
The end has me wondering if the fight turns into a make out session
Anne is not a happy person right now and I wonder what she is going to do. She seems like a loose cannon after being left out like that. I think Max is playing everyone.

Have to say I think the show has improved a lot over season 1. It's still a little campy at times, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. And I think the main characters have found their groove.

You've produced more spam on this forum than the makers themselves. Shoo, fly ...

I did not see that coming. But yeah, it adds another level of depth to the story for sure. I still wouldn't mind if Flynt got offed and Vane became the main character.

Not sure I would be able to handle Vane's voice for most of an episode.

Quite a shocker, but it has confused me a little bit. Maybe I missed something, but back in Season 1, Episode 7 (I think) we saw how Flint assassinated some people and reported back to Mrs. Barlow that the job was done (This whole thing led to the Flint / Gates/ Billy Bones drama). I swore that the person Flint killed was Thomas, but it is now clear that wasn't the case. Who were those people? Have their identities ever been revealed?

Things are heating up!
Rackham really lends a lift to the proceedings (has from the start), and Bonney is like a cornered, wild animal (great lighting on the eyes when Max was talking to her). "Adrift" describes her situation perfectly.
Might have to use the image above as a screensaver.

Eleanor, stupid girl, left the keys in the lock and closed the door when entering to talk to the girl. Does this leave Vane to lock both of then next show? That would be the dumbest thing in the world.
Just kill off Vane already. He's such a tosser on the show.

Man. Shit is about to hit the fan in all directions. Man I love this show!
Pretty good scene with Anne. I actually really felt for her in that scene. Max is a bitch and I love it. Talk about take control.
I did not expect that outcome from Billy. That was awesome.

Re: Black Sails (S2E07) -- "XV" -- 3/7/15
At some point Eleanor is going to run into Vane and there's going to be no one there to save her. That is going to be some scene.
One thing tho that doesn't make sense, Anne said she was 13 when Jack slit her husband's throat. She's either aged badly or Jack was a child himself as their ages don't match up with that.
At some point I think John Silver and Billy will come to terms as they are at odds even if it doesn't appear so now.

I think the producers weren't really trying to match up the age disparity (even if they'd said 15 or 16, you're right...she looks old relative to Jack). But then, we rarely see her smile or being happy, and that will put years on your appearance. If we look at her like an abused pet or a young meth addict, it makes her appearance more plausible.

Awesome finale. Typical Michael Bay with all the explosions. Brad Fuller has lagged on his sense for nudity though. I cant say enough how much this show kicks ass. Unfortunate what happened to Silver but it had to go sometime.
Rackham and crew are in for some series shit with all that Gold.

Holy shit that was awesome! This season seemed to drag at times, and there wasn't nearly enough naked Hannah New. In fact, was there any naked Hannah New? And I hated one of the big plot twists: I'm not gay myself, but I don't have anything against gay people. I really don't. Hell, I'm from Atlanta, and it sometimes seems like half my high school friends were gay. So knock yourselves out, fellas - be the gayest gay man you can, if that's what you want. But using "OMG! THEY'RE GAY!" as a plot twist just seems lazy as all hell, and mildly offensive at that.
But this finale was 54 goddamn minutes of awesome! Sucks to be Silver, but we all knew it was coming. And the attack on Charles Town was just... brutal, but so much fun: the release of all the pent-up emotion with this show.
