Burton is one of my favorite TV characters of all time. There was only 2 possible outcomes from that scene, and I was just fine with the outcome. (Though did it feel just a tad like fight between 2 terminators? Yes.) Also loved that Hood went into the woods for the agent.

Yaitanes said in the above interview they are aiming for 5 seasons.
He also said he prefers 10 episode seasons.

This should be the standard for all cable TV dramas. 5 seasons keeps the show from jumping the shark, and 10 episodes keeps it interesting and usually doesn't have any filler episodes.

Can only really echo what as already been said. Incredible episode. I hope they still have a budget for the rest of the season!
Did not expect Odette to be killed off at this point in the game. That fight was amazing. And once again goes to show some of the best action and stunt work these days are on TV, with shows like Banshee, Strike Back, Arrow, etc.

Sorry to see Nola go, but she was little more than a cool idea for a character that they never quite did anything with.

Holy Sh*t! I started binging on Banshee a few weeks ago and just watched this episode last night. So much happened. When it was over, I had to ask myself how many episodes I just watched.
I've never seen a show with action scenes like this show. I find myself saying "Holy Sh*t" at least once an episode. I'm sad I'm more than halfway done with the show's episodes. I want them to keep coming.

I haven't watched S4 because I cut the cord, and the eps. couldn't be bought weekly like most shows. However, I just saw S4 will be out 6/20, so I'll finish up the series soon.
Enjoy.

Yeah, great episode and great show. Keep watching.
Yeah, premium cable is always like that. Digital releases aren't next-day and tend to line up with the physical media release, but Banshee season 3 came out digitally before BD, and season 4 will do the same. I saw a few episodes of season 4 during a free weekend, but am also looking forward to next week's release to finish it off. I'll probably end up double-dipping on both because the show is great to watch on BD.

Anyone have any idea when they will release the complete series set on BD? I haven't bought any of the individual seasons.

I am way behind on TV shows and finally got around to this one. I have withheld bumping any old threads on this show, even though it has been one of the most awesomely awesomeness awesomer shows I have seen in a long time. The premise is ridiculous but the execution is fantastic.
Anyway...as the first comment stated...Holy shit! There have been plenty of insane moments and episodes on this show, but this one took the cake. Crazy to think they would make an episode like this in your third episode of the third season. This was like a major finale type episode.
I love the unpredictability of this show along with the excellent production values. I plan to finally watch The Boys after this. I started it years ago and never got past the first few episodes but the main guy on this is great, and I want to see him in more stuff.
Anyway, just had to bump this. If you haven't watched this show, check it out.

The final season isn't bad as much as it's messy as fuck.
They basically left a major cliffhanger at the end of season three that season four didn't satisfyingly resolve, and, on top of that introduced a bunch of other stuff from left field including a time jump and a
And Cinemax cut them down from ten to eight episodes for the final season on top of that. We were promised that, despite a smaller number of episodes, they would be longer or feature-length, which they weren't.

Plus Greg Yaitanes, the executive producer, was already starting work on Quarry and wanted to wrap things up with Banshee as quickly as possible. Also, they changed filming locations from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, giving the show a different and unfamiliar look. The fans deserved better than what they got, for sure, but it's not the only series to have an underwhelming final season (Boardwalk Empire, Penny Dreadful, and Dexter come to mind as well). The first three seasons are top notch, though.

I loved Banshee, and it checked so many boxes for me. This bump prompted me to rewatch the big fight, and I assumed it was at the end of the episode, but nope, it was pretty early, which seemed like a reflection of how packed every episode was.
It ran around the same time as Strike Back, and I think that had an even bigger dropoff. Still a good show, but new cast, and lost some of its edge.
