PART TWO OF THE ARROW AND FLASH CROSSOVER EVENT - Oliver (Stephen Amell), Arsenal (Colton Haynes) and Diggle (David Ramsey) track down the location of a boomerang-wielding killer named Digger Harkness (guest star Nick E. Tarabay) but are surprised when they come face to face with an A.R.G.U.S. team. Diggle asks Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) why A.R.G.U.S. is involved, but she defers until Harkness attacks the building, killing several agents and targeting Lyla. The Arrow joins the fight and gets help from an old friend - The Flash (guest star Grant Gustin). Harkness manages to get away and Oliver teams up with Barry again to find him before he can get to Lyla. When Harkness plants five bombs in the city that are timed to explode at the same time, both teams must come together to save the city. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg, and teleplay by Marc Guggenheim & Grainne Godfree Schwartz (#308). Original airdate 12/3/2014.

I forgot to set this to record, when do new eps get added on Hulu?

First off, loved the title of the episode. This was another awesome episode. It actually felt like a Batman/Superman story and less a Flash/Arrow story. The episode wasn't as fun and was somewhat darker but I still really enjoyed it and thought it was great. Nice to see Ollie get a new costume too. So yeah, those past two episodes were awesome.

To someone that is into archery "bolt" is another word for "arrow".

I still really can't believe I'm watching captain boomerang on screen in a live action show. This is some sort of weird feeling, man.
I'm.. yeah, I'm so geekgasming out on these two episodes. It's so good. From Bart Allen to the mention of the arrow cave/arrow mobile. God, these two episodes. How do I come off of this high?!

Great episode, I thought this was even better than its first hour on the Flash's show. Though I hadn't realized they were practically bringing over the entire cast, this was a lot of characters for one hour of television. I thought that ending was such a cheat. I hope they never mention that camera installed in Barry's chest symbol ever again.
It's not Captain Boomerang until they gave him the distinctive hat. This might also be the first time when I wish an actor had more of an accent. "Digger" is a slang word for "soldier" in Australia.

Why didn't everyone's clothing burst into flames after Flash dropped them off with the bombs. He was obviously going faster than last night's Flash ep where Felicity's clothing burst into flames. And why did Lyla refer to Roy as Speedy? I thought they were already calling him Arsenal. Did I miss something?
Flash should of also removed Digger's boomerangs before he cleared the train platform.

when Lyla mentioned Speedy she was referring to the Flash not Roy.

I guess since he's so used to dealing with metahumans with powers, that's not his first instinct when facing normal humans with mercenary tendencies.

That was my first thought as well. They appear to take a lot of liberties regarding his powers as nothing really would be a threat, at least nothing at normal speeds yet some of the metahumans would still be an issue or could be.Originally Posted by mrhan

For the same reason Clark didn't on Smallville. If he uses his powers intelligently he's practically unstoppable, so the story must mandate he doesn't.Originally Posted by Patman

I liked the episode more, but I think the fight at the end of the Flash episode was probably the best thing either show has done to date.

Your reasoning doesn't fly because if you read any of the comics they always took care of regular bad guys with ease. The metahumans always had some sort of contingency plan just in case. The writers on the series are either on deadline or just plain lazy to think up something inventive or even plain logical every week. Originally Posted by randian

If Flash stripped Boomerang of his weapon and had Ollie kick his ass I wouldn't have questioned the scene. In the comics Flash would have just tied Boomerang up and they could have dealt with the bombs more quickly.

I like how they acknowledged that their worlds/cities/shows are different. And that really helped with merging the 2 into the same universe, IMO.

They've kept using Speedy around Roy as a little in-joke, even though on Arrow it's the nickname of Oliver's sister.
Did they materially alter Green Arrow's new costume? We didn't really get a good look at it, but the color seemed lighter than before.

I can't recall any of that but I do remember in the pilot episode Oliver did call his sister Speedy.Originally Posted by PhantomStranger

Courtesy of the Flash, Arrow just scored its highest ever ratings in the most important demo for it:
http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/12/...lash-crossover
Arrow scored its highest ratings ever in adults 18-49 (1.4/4) thanks to last night's crossover episode with The Flash. "The Brave and the Bold" also now ranks as the show's second most watched episode (3.86 million) before DVR and online viewing are factored in, just behind the series premiere.
With the conclusion of The CW's crossover event, Arrow matched its series high in adults 18-34 (1.2/5) and men 18-34 (1.5/6), and hit a new series high in men 18-49 (1.7/6).

It's only a matter of time until they add a superpowered character to Arrow. Maybe one that shrinks...

Solid capper to the 2 night event. Glad to see Arrow get a ratings boost.
I did like Ollie making the reference to Barry on how Starling City is much more darker and dangerous than Barry's Central City. It was cool seeing Barry react to Ollie's vigilante Justice and some of his dirtier tactics. Hell, I would have loved Barry seeing season 1 Ollie who killed without remorse.
Funny thing Nick Tarabay, who played Harkness, was also on a recent episode of Person of Interest also sort of a WB action super hero show in a way...sorta.

Cool ep. I love how they addressed the differences in the heroes and their teams due to the nature of the cities and dangers they encounter.

Well, it was created by the writer of the Dark Knight and the computer software is very similar (or at least seems like an earlier version which can only see and not predict things) to the one depicted in that movie.Originally Posted by DJariya
