I like Brandon Routh's casting in this one.
When Oliver asked Katana(that's her nickname right?), "why did you leave Tokyo?" I almost half expected her to answer, "because The Wolverine left me too."
I too, thought this was something that would've aired closer to Valentine's Day.

She's to this series what Lois Lane was to Smallville. Or she's what Smallville's Lois Lane could have been had she not suffered so many concussions.Originally Posted by PhantomStranger

I guess the buckles are needed since Laurel could never pull off a more comic book accurate costume.Originally Posted by SmithsGuy

Spoiler:
Not that such a costume would be remotely practical anyway.

This season needs to go somewhere. I'm enjoying all the Brandon Rough parts more than anything. Speaking of, if he was this charismatic as Superman he'd probably still be Superman.

The more I see of Brandon Routh in this show, the more pissed off I get at the screenwriting for Superman Returns.

I think Routh did a great job as Christopher Reeve's Clark Kent. He was fairly terrible as Superman. He's a lot better at playing less imposing characters.

So I guess since this show is strictly a "no superpowers" show, that means we'll never see The Atom here? Maybe we'll see him guest in The Flash...

The producers swore a lot of stuff about Arrow before it came out that they have since changed their minds about. The Fastest Man alive is about to team up with the Emerald Archer.Originally Posted by Eric F

Earlier this fall at the start of "Arrow" season three, series executive producer Marc Guggenheim stated that with "The Flash" now on air, the more senior show would return to more grounded -- read, less-superpowered -- territory. With the two-part "The Flash"/"Arrow" crossover scheduled to air next week, Guggenheim told CBR News that the experience of working on those episodes have changed his mind.
"What's fun about episode 8 for 'Arrow' is it proved to me, as a writer and a producer, hey, you know what? You can do metahumans on 'Arrow' without feeling like the show is changing its tone too much," Guggenheim told CBR this past weekend at a screening of the two episodes in Los Angeles, adding that viewers may see more metahumans on the series following the crossover. "It's something that we all sort of collectively realized -- hey, the show can handle that. So that's kind of cool. I might have to amend my earlier comment from the beginning of the year, just because this kind of works."

I'm happy that the flashbacks have been kept to (kind of) a minimum so far this season. The episodes seem to flow a bit better this season because of it.

I've been doing a marathon of this today, so these are general comments about the whole season so far (I didn't want to bump older threads)
Oliver's sister in the tight baby blue midriff showing shirt a few episodes back was nice. They've been showing her off a lot this season

Boy, I hope this season picks up a bit. This might be the worst episode yet - Poochy the DJ, wayyyy too much Felicity, horrible overacting by Cupid, Diggle gets zip to do, and while Brandon Routh isn't bad he's not playing Ray Palmer (should've been Ted Kord aka Blue Beetle). It feels like Arrow is coasting this season while oddly Flash seems fresher and more fun.
