Castle (S7E06) -- "The Time of Our Lives" -- 11/10/14

A MURDER INVESTIGATION LAUNCHES CASTLE INTO AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE WHERE HE AND BECKETT HAVE NEVER MET, WHICH INSPIRES THEM TO TAKE A TRIP TO THE ALTAR, ON ABC'S "CASTLE"
"The Time of Our Lives" -- A murder investigation launches Castle into what seems to be an alternate universe where he's never met Kate Beckett. Castle has to convince Beckett, Esposito and Ryan -- now complete strangers -- to let him participate in their investigation so he can find his way back to his own world. This inspires Castle & Beckett to finally take a trip to the altar, on "Castle," MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
"Castle" stars Nathan Fillion as Richard Castle, Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers, Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle, Penny Johnson Jerald as NYPD Captain Victoria Gates, Tamala Jones as Medical Examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD Detective Javier Esposito, and Seamus Dever as NYPD Detective Kevin Ryan.
Guest Cast: Julian Scott Urena as Renzo Conrad, David Francis Harris as Mathias Gensler, Jeffrey Nordling as Marcus Lark, Scott Paulin as Jim Beckett.
"The Time of Our Lives" was written by Terri Edda Miller and directed by Paul Holahan.

Good episode, sort of a It's A Wonderful Life feel to it. Alexis should never go to black hair. I liked the ending to. Glad that is finally out of the way.

Solid episode. The alternate universe/It's a Wonderful Life aspect was done really well.
I liked the wedding at the end. Simple and Sweet. The vows were really nice. They could not be more pertinent to these two. However, I was disappointed that Ryan, Espo and Lanie weren't there.

That was a fun episode. The differences between the two universes were all very plausible and interesting. And you could feel Castle's frustration and desperation when he began to feel like he would never get back. Very well done.
I still love this show...

Think this is 2nd Castle so that didn't record for us. We don't seem to have DVR conflicts either. Frustrating, but we caught VOD.
That aside, a great episode. Possibly one of my all time favorites. I loved all the little nods to original episodes like, "Stay in the car!", and the disgust at not having a cappuccino machine in the break room.
Classic!
