Joel and that construction chick he works with liked each other, but I don't think they ever hooked up. Or maybe I am not remembering right.

I think the whole thing started with Joel getting jealous of the daddy daycare guy. Then Joel got pissed and walked out, and then Julia hooked up with the daddy daycare guy for real.

It wasn't just some jealousy of daddy daycare more so that Julia wasn't dealing with the roles reversed in Joel being the one working while Julia stayed at home and was the homemaker. She started getting disconnected with Joel and started some questionable stuff with daddy daycare fella.

Julia didn't hook up with the daddy daycare guy, but she did hook up with the guy Adam and Kristina hired to be the principle of Max's school. I have no idea where he is now, though.

Chuck Cunningham Syndrome.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the principal guy. The trigger with daddy daycare was the kiss, which she lied about and escalated the whole mess into the trust/no trust world.

They never showed Joel with anyone else but Julia had sex with the headmaster of Kristina's school last season & was sleeping with her co-worker this season.

Wasn't there a Julia one night stand in the middle there? Seem to remember a scene where she had to scramble away realizing that it was a bad move. Maybe that was the tryst with the principal.

That storyline was one of the better parts of the show in recent years since she is the closent thing the show has to eye candy within the main cast.

Pretty sure they showed the last shot of the final episode in the TV promo althouhg I hope I'm wrong. Not that it's a bad thing, I just don't like knowing the last shot of a finale.

Possible, but I doubt it. I expect that to happen at about the 45min mark, with some other type of closure happning with the remaining time.

Yeah, I'm going to miss this show. I have to say, they really didn't know what the fuck to do with Adam. That whole Water company thing was so unneeded.

Nice finale, and I did like the time jumps and the fact that they didn't waste too much time on the Zeke funeral, and made the whole affair into a celebration. I also enjoyed quick fast forward look into the future with Max's Graduation, headmaster Adam, recording studio exec Crosby (it looked like Jasmine was pregnant again), a nice guy for Amber and happiness all around.

Great show, and we can only hope Jason Katims has another good family drama up his sleeve someday.

In the meantime looking forward to the next Lauren Graham show, the next Peter Krause Show whatever that might be and seeing how much success Mae Whitman has, she's a great actress..

Great finale.

I was surprised in the flash-forward that Joel and Julia not only had the adopted daughter, but another baby that looked like a boy. I wondered if they adopted that one or if she ended up able to have a baby?

Peter Krause now has appeared in 2 series finales where you get to see glimpses into the future of both families for those shows..

I agree, they had no clue what to do with Adam or even Crosby but I still think it worked out well.
