Re: How To Get Away With Murder (ABC) -- S: Viola Davis -- Series Discussion Thread
Looks like I didn't miss much not watching last season. Seven posts over the course of the year. From the premier synopsis, it seems that they are still doing the flash forwards, which was one of the things that I found super annoying about the show when I watched it.

One of the big storylines from last season was one of main characters getting killed off, which was the big season-long mystery. |

I've kept on watching but most of the time I really have no idea what's going on. I guess I get hooked in by whatever big mystery they introduce at the beginning of each season. There are some likable characters, so it is mostly background TV to me. Is there anyone that can actually follow all of the plots on this show?

Looking forward too the crossover but I don't watch Scandal so I'm hoping I won't be too lost.

This show was never caught on in the 1st place. I think some didn't bother continuing after the 1st season. But, it has made it to season 4.

Has HTGAWM ever mentioned President Obama? If so then it can't be in the same universe as Scandal, but I can't remember. I think Grey's Anatomy made direct mention of Obama so it can't be in the same universe as these other two. I always had assumed that HTGAWM existed within the actual world and not the Scandal world.

Canceled. Season 6 will be the last.
https://tvline.com/2019/07/11/how-to...inal-episodes/ I may be the only person here who has kept up with this even though most of the time I have no idea what's going on in the show. |

I'll watch it. It's definitely time for the show to end, since it has really stretched the plot to ridiculous links and the characters have become generally unlikeable.

My wife and I watched regularly since day one. Sorry to see it go but hope it has a good send off.

I seriously can not believe this show was so highly rated on IMDB, my wife, daughter and I watched the first four seasons of this recently and it was nearly unbearable after the first season. Is network TV that bad that this warrants an 8.1 overall? I really expected so much more from the show based on that rating.

What's funny is if you averaged out the individual episode scores, it'd be closer to like an 8.4 or 8.5. As it stands it has an 8.1.

To each their own I guess: I really enjoyed the show. The last two seasons went a bit off the rails but overall I think it's a really good show.

Re: How To Get Away With Murder (ABC) -- S: Viola Davis -- Series Discussion Thread
I liked this show more in its first two seasons, when it was more like a weekly legal procedural case / aspect.
After season 2, I found this show somewhat harder to follow. |
