Re: Just zeroed out my DVR Thread!

I voted yes, but I really mean I want to get it down from 75-80% to about 20%. Then I can record multiple football games without worrying, or go on vacation. (Except for uptempo teams like Oregon, you can watch every play of a college game in about an hour, just utilizing the 30-second skip button.) Plus, with an empty DVR, it's easier to cut the cord and swap DVRs when a bigger or better one comes along. For me, I'm still waiting for Comcast to fix enough bugs in their X1 system to make it worth switching.

I finish with most TV on my DVR very quickly, it's the movies which sit there forever. And I have to find some way around the damn DRM to get the the TCM stuff you can't get on dvd off of it.

you know i always record movies myself and they sit and i never watch them so i end up deleting, figuring i can always get from NetFlix down the line if i truly desire. almost to the point where i won't record a movie anymore.

I'm usually around 70%, but if a big marathon is coming up or I'm about to go on vacation and need a week's worth of space, I'll usually clear it to 40%.

I never try to get past 80% just in case of a "TV emergency"! haha

Unfortunately I found that out today. We kept ours around 50% most of the time, but today it went to 0% the hard way.
