Yeah, but who the fuck just leaves a baby unattended on a front porch without the slightest idea of if someone's home, or going to be home anytime soon? So dumb.

Season 2 will probably show him coming out of the house.

This. I don't care what the circumstances, you have to be pretty fucked in the head to just leave a baby sitting there.

Especially with all these wild dogs roaming around - although he may not know about that.

Wow, you actually finished the season? I'm surprised especially since you were pretty vocal at how much this show wasn't entertaining you at all.

Yeah they definitely left that open to interpretation.

I also don't think Nora wrote a suicide letter, it looked more like she was just planning on getting out of town for good.

I haven't watched this show, but I recently read up on it a bit and I recall one write up saying that in the book Nora was planning to leave town and start a new life. However, they also mentioned how some characters were significantly changed from the book and the overall tone is much darker in the TV series, so perhaps the show made her intent more ambiguous. Also, the first season covers the entire book, which is probably why many got the feeling it could be a series finale.

Who says he's not fucked in the head?

Eeeeexactly. This whole show is about people being fucked in the head.

Okay, so season one covered the entirety of the book? That would mean the writers have free rein in season two, and I love the idea of that.

I just rampaged through the season the past four days. I honestly thought the season finale was the series finale so I was surprised to see this renewed. Now, I didn't read the book but I have this distinct feeling they will never explain the rapture.

Well that sucked. Also, does that mean there is an all new cast?

Huh, weird. So a small city had nobody disappear?

Bandoman 06-12-15 04:14 PM

I like the idea of an all new cast, exploring how others reacted to the event. And a town where no one disappeared - probably just chance, but the apparent pilgrimage there would naturally follow.

It's not an all new cast. Some new though, I'm sure.
