Just finished Season 2 and looking forward to Season 3 next year. So many guest spots as already mentioned.

Always love "Character Actress Margo Martindale"

Enjoyed Season Two as much as the first. It never ceases to amaze me how such a sloppy cartoon loaded with animal pun jokes manages to get me so emotionally invested in the characters.

One thing I may have missed (my stream froze up a couple times) why was Bojack's car fucked up in the last couple episodes (cracked windsheild, dented front)?

He hit the deer earlier in the season.

I think this show is as detailed and dense as Arrested Development and 30 Rock. You can catch more and more with additional viewings.

Has anyone checked out season 3 yet? This one got pretty dark. It also had some interesting choices in episodes. I enjoyed it.

Coincidentally, about an hour before you posted this I thought of the show and watched a couple episodes.

I will probably keep watching and possibly get up to season three by the end of the month.

Loved the underwater episode! And the big shocker in the penultimate ep of the season was a long time coming but still sad to watch. Season 3 flew by IMO.

Halfway through the terrific Season 3.

The underwater episode was fantastic. Likely one of the best single episodes of an animated show.

Also, during the abortion episode, I kept pausing to read the posters on the wall. The politics about abortion in this human/animal world must get really involved. I kept wanting to know more.

Pretty great that in the third season, they are able to make the world the show is set in larger and more interesting. They really got ambitious this time.

Did anyone catch the news ticker on MSNBSea? There was one that read:

"US is celebrating 3 days without a mass shooting. UPDATE - never mind."

Yup, I was referring to the underwater episode in my post. I really enjoyed that one.

This show is incredibly depressing, and yet I'm drawn to keep watching more of it. I thought this season was the strongest yet.

Midway through season 3. I thought this looked stupid but it's actually really good. Love all the hidden animal-world bits in addition to the obvious animal-world jokes. The fact that it does have serious stuff as well makes it even better.
I like looking for a few of the running gags, especially "Erica!" and the banners.

Another solid season with some very creative episodes. The background on Bojack's family was fantastic.

You guys are not into Bojack? One of the best shows on Netflix by far.

S5 was great. I don't want to spoil it for people, but it's more of the same, and if you like what came before you'll like this season too. Bojack is a mess.

Re: BoJack Horseman -- Netflix cartoon -- S: Arnett, Sedaris, Paul, Brie

Hmmm...trying to be vague enough not to spoil too much....

Still, be warned....

Spoiler:

I loved S5. Free Churros had me bawling by the end - Will Arnett really does deserve some recognition for his stellar voice acting as BoJack. I never in a million years would have pegged him as having this range of talent even though I loved him in Arrested Development and overall have liked him in a couple of other projects - generally he seemed like he could be a good actor in specific comic roles but could really stink up the place if he chose roles indiscriminately. I'm so overjoyed to see his full abilities here.

There was a lot of emphasis on sex from our Asexual friend Todd, a lot of the situations VERY silly, but most of it had me ROFLing even so. Henry Fondle just should NOT have worked as an ongoing joke but I loved how every one was having a conversation with him and misconstruing his lines. I didn't like Todd much during the first few episodes of S1, but he's comic relief that actually helps cut through some of the oppressive darkness - but even he has a breaking point as we've seen before. Still, I find him very endearing.

I THINK Time's Arrow very slightly edges out Free Churros as best episode of BoJack for me, BUT I think the B plot episodes/comic filler of S5 was funnier for me than much of the MRPB governor bits from S4.

I do wish there had been more Hollyhock - I like how she was reintroduced to the season, but I wish she and BoJack had parted on better terms this time around.

I thought the closing scenes on S3 and S4 were more powerful but I still liked the final scenes between BoJack and Diane this time around - this did feel like Diane might just be done with him for good now. Guess we'll see.

Good for BJH for being one of the only shows on TV that addresses the #MeToo movement in a significant way. A whole season arc too.

Does anyone else find this show unbearably miserable? I have a hard time enjoying it.

No worse than The Walking Dead.

Re: BoJack Horseman -- Netflix cartoon -- S: Arnett, Sedaris, Paul, Brie

The Walking Dead had some hope in the Darabont seasons. I stopped watching when it turned into Gillian's Island.

Whenever I watch a show that's so miserable, without any upside, I recall Adrian Lyne's commentary on Jacob's Ladder. He says that you need to give you character some kind of light, hope, or happiness.

While I can appreciate its cynicism and the real-life Hollywood stuff, this show is depressing. Ozarks too.
