I liked it. A little bit of suspense and action.
So Martin Odum is basically an older version of Jason Bourne from what I can tell. The premise seems very similar to the Bourne Identity movies.
at the TNT promos poking fun at the whole Don't Kill Sean Bean thing.
I was a little surprised they killed off the quirky Indian computer guy. Now I guess that will be Tina Marjorino's sole role.
I am however so tired of seeing Zeljko Ivanek. He's so over-exposed right now. He's been on Revolution, Suits, Banshee, The Americans and even True Blood all in the last 12 months. I hope this guest spot was a one and done deal.
There aren't really any good weekly action spy shows right now, so I think this could be fun.

I liked it... and I always thought Sean Bean was a talented, but limited actor. Always playing the same type of gruff guy with a British accent... but I was shocked how he pulled off playing the nerdy-hick... he's got a much greater acting range than I've given him credit for in the past.

agree with the sentiment, I really liked it. Ultra thin Tina Majorino is still weird to me but kudos for her getting healthier. Really liked that it seems it will follow a structure where there are stand alone arcs along with an underlying mythology that will be revealed over time. The first snippets of the mythology were interesting enough. GOT SUPER MILD SPOILER:

You could make a drinking game of all the cliches...
-Angsty undercover agent who doesn't play by the rules
-Bitter ex-wife and alienated child he's trying to reconnect with
-Friction with his ex-lover, who happens to be one of his bosses
-Despite his problems, "He's the best we've got!"
I watched this with my brother, and we both cracked up when Martin discovered the dead computer tech guy ("I'm Sean Bean! How dare you be the one to die on my show!")
All that being said, I enjoyed it. Moved along at a nice pace, Sean Bean was great, and I like the mystery of his real identity. In for the season.
Agreed. He's a solid character actor, but he just pops up in too many shows.

Maybe that is what made shows like BB and The Wire so great is that there was so many less chiches at their cores.

I thought the pilot was okay. I don't understand where they could go with the idea he's living under a false identity. Is he a brainwashed operative that is actually working against the government? It was written so vaguely his background could be almost anything.

I DVR'd this and was waiting to hear some feedback before I invested any time in it. I've heard some decent things and I really like SB so I'll have to set aside some time and watch the first couple episodes.

I was really looking forward to this series - everything about it seemed in my wheelhouse- but I had trouble making it 30 minutes in before I gave up.
The aforementioned genre cliches and the lazy expository dialogue were too much to take. I really rolled my eyes at the "we're instantly creating a credit history and backdating forum posts" moment. When Ali Larter gratuitously went undercover at a strip club I figured it had finally hit every cliched speed bump it possibly could.
I love Sean Bean - and some elements of the "your life is a lie" seemed interesting - but the rest of it just seemed too cornball for me. Perhaps the writers were trying to jam too much setup into the first ep.
Maybe I was just wasn't in the right mind frame. I may revisit this series later OnDemand...

I saw this and it did suffer from cliché overload. I do like Sean Bean and Ali Larter enough to go through a few more episodes.

The show has been pretty generic in every episode I've seen. It's basically a way for fans of Sean Bean and Ali Larter to see them in paint-by-numbers action scripts.

Finally had a chance to watch the pilot. Cliches aside, I thought it was just okay. I think it could have benefited from an extra 5-10 minutes actually. It felt like the episode was rushing to hit a lot of lookout points, but then the rest just felt like any regular episode.
The only thing that really hooked me was mystery guy and the computer guy dying. The makes me interested enough to see what the additional 9 episodes hold.
