Damn, I think that was way worse for Hastings than Marco killing him. Not sure why Abelardo doesn't have any back-up to help his investigation because opening that kind of can of worms, he can't not think Fausto has a reach over his head to know what's going on. Most kids killed in a show ever?

I like how this show has no qualms about killing kids.

Like that's a bad thing. Most kids on dramas are so annoying. ;)

Spoiler:
i tire of shows tossing in lots of eye gouging. this episode with multiple shots on goal.

i am fascinated by the Mexican side of this. i guess some police don't just pretend and actually do police work/are not in a drug lord's pocket. i wonder if that varies by town, or who does real work or who pretends.

i would imagine that different police forces are in different pockets and Fausto is not the only lord in town. (if Lorde is playing Juarez that night, that goes without saying). so perhaps depending on where a murder or series of murders like those of the drug robbing teens takes place, it will be investigated with more vigor to get back at a rival.

i wonder about the purpose of the sign left on the bodies. wouldn't it have more effect if it was tacked up on the front door. who will see these bodies to read it and pass the warning along? perhaps other cronies of the teens, who will then talk around? on the door feels like it really makes it public and fearless.

on GOT with multiple stories and characters i feel cheated with the small time spent with each character and always want so much more. maybe an offshoot of reading the books. here even though there are many characters, i feel fulfilled with the time spent with each one. i don't need to see lots of fausto, the bit at his sons memorial tells me so much about him as a person and character. the lead up to the memorial, guarded by police in tactical gear felt so rich. there wasn't much time spent overall with the journalists, but every moment felt full and told a lot. there didn't feel like any extra or padding, and i got a sense of what they were up to. same with mark metcalf, etc. this really feels like a perfect amount of time spent with people while keeping multiple story lines afloat. i cannot think of another show that makes me feel that way.

with the dangers of prosecuting, i wonder why that Mexican guy isn't assigned some sort of federal protection at all times. obviously others have been hurt doing what he is doing and i would think the Mexican gov would try to do something or at least pretend.

as for the brutality of the teens being killed. they shot a horse, and got what's coming to them. #reppinMrEd

i hope the dog wasn't hurt as he was just an innocent bystander.

I'm wondering, was that an actual kid or a stuntman, since the person was wearing a mask, to have all those squibs go off? And the surviving kid got a face full of teen titty after he rubbed her blood on him.

The one I'm not getting is where they're going with Sonya and the brother. Of course, he's not sure where the fuck it's going either.
