I bailed when I cancelled cable. Planned to buy the BD set, but $44 and no digital code? I'll wait for Black Friday.

Why the hell is there no digital code? Are Disney steadfast in their refusal to work with any of the digital consortiums or something?

disney has their own streaming service now. i'm not sure it applies to their TV stuff, but their movies all only use the disney streaming service. my guess is that is the reason.

Of course. Lest we forget, they must do everything differently :rolleyes:. Yeah for the streaming future, where I can get UV codes as long as they aren't Disney products. How asinine. "The cloud" is the future :mad:

Agree. I would love to see a Howling Commandos adventure, preferably with Captain America. If nothing else as a mini-movie.

Just when I thought this show had finally gotten it's act together...

Hopefully he'll only be a recurring character (and not too often) who they have to squeeze info out of from his cell. I could even handle it if he escapes and they have to track him down. But if we get some bullshit "reverse double agent" storyline...

Just watched the first 2 eps last night of Season one...

My goal is to see if there are any clues pointing to Ward being the bad guy:
Ep 1 - From the beginning I thought Ward had WAY to much of a bad attitude. He had high scores in combat, but low scores in "Relationships" (he worked better alone).
Ep 2 - "Matterhorn" is one one 10 books his Sr. Officers (Garrett) gave him to read:
***"Matterhorn" is the code name for a fire-support base located between Laos and the DMZ. At the beginning of the novel, the Marines build the base, but later they are ordered to abandon it. The latter portions of the novel detail the struggles of Bravo Company to retake the base, which fell into enemy hands after it was abandoned.***

I could be totally wrong, but these are just my guesses.

Slim to none. Shows rarely go up in viewers as the show progresses (unless it just hit syndication), and just hearing it "got better" in it's second half won't make any difference. I suppose it's competition might effect the viewing. Isn't it going up against the powerhouse duo of New Girl and Mindy?

It'll be high/mid 1's by it's Third episode, and that will probably be good enough for ABC.

I think Agents of Shield might be different enough where it is possible. No other TV show has the connection to a larger universe to a popular movie franchise like Agents of Shield might.

And yet it didn't help its ratings last season as it continued to drop week after week. What's going to be different this year? I don't follow the Marvel movies so what synergy is going to happen between the films and the show in the next 9 months?

There are rumors of a crossover episode with Avengers 2 in May 2015.

Last year they had 2 crossovers episodes with the Marvel movies (Thor: TDW and Captain America: TWS)

I'd like to point out that the season one Blu-ray set is on backorder on Amazon (11-14 day wait). Best Buy also has it backordered through their online store and only one store in Vegas has it available for pickup.

There might be a ratings boost based upon video sales...

The Extremis stuff from Iron Man 3 also appeared in Agents of SHIELD.

I suspect season 2 will continue the trend and have crossovers with phase 3 movies like Ant-Man and Doctor Strange.

LOL. Or Disney didn't ship enough copies, produced low volumes based upon other TV show sales etc. TV on BD is disappearing, not to mention the crazy high price for this.

The Thor crossover was relatively minor, but the Winter Soldier one tied in very closely and set the tone for the last several eipsodes (as well as the rest of the series).
