Satisfaction (USA) - Series Thread

A provocative drama that explores modern marriage at its midpoint. Through the lens of one couple, Neil Truman (Matt Passmore, "The Glades") and his wife, Grace (Stephanie Szostak, "The Devil Wears Prada"), this series answers the question, "What do you do when having it all is not enough?" by delving into their shocking and unconventional choices. Michelle DeShon ("Hollywood Heights"), Katherine LaNasa (The Campaign) and Blair Redford ("Switched at Birth") also star. SATISFACTION is from Universal Cable Productions (UCP) and executive producer/creator Sean Jablonski (SUITS, "Nip Tuck"). Russ Krasnoff ("Community") of Krasnoff/Foster also serves as executive producer. The series is set to film in Atlanta, Georgia.

I'm looking forward to checking this out when I get back home from vacation.
Matt Passmore as a male prostitute should be fun. I expect to see him with alot of hot young women.

They should call this show "White People Problems"
"Ohhh woe is me, I'm rich, successful, married to a hot wife and I'm unhappy!"
Also, wouldn't the proper revenge for a wife sleeping with a male prostitute for the guy to get a female prostitute?

So, I guess this was clearly made with the intent to be on another network? Or they just didn't care about using "fuck" in the dialogue and cutting it?

The Photoshop in this image is ridiculous. They made him look more muscular, almost like some MMA guy, and his looks nothing like he does in this image. And she looks even worse, like instead of at least using an actual photo to enhance, they just completely CGI-ed her. What's worse, they had no reason to do all that work at all, when just a still from the show would've looked much better.
Anyhoo, some interesting stuff, but not too great a show. I might watch more, only because there's not a lot of stuff to watch this time of year.

I don't think it is their bodies in that photo, someone slapped their heads on different bodies.
This wasn't a terrible pilot, it didn't feel like a USA show at all. They must not have developed the property. I didn't think much of the casting for the wife, she's a little bland for her role. It's amazing they got Johnny Depp's younger twin clone to play a part.

Anyone watching this? I liked it when it first started... but it's really starting to lack.

I'm keeping up with it mainly for Neil's madam. I think I see where they are going with the storyline but I'm not sure they cast the right actress for his wife. I'm not sure this gets renewed, it feels out of place on USA. I've liked Rush a lot more, the show airing before it.

Rush is definitely a more fun and interesting show. As dex said earlier in this thread it feels like this was developed for another network.

Re: Satisfaction (USA) - Season 1 Thread - Thursdays starting 7/17/14
I really liked this show when it first started, but it has waned during the season. I agree the wife is boring and miscast - I did not think she was going to have as big of a role at first as she ended up having. I am not understanding why all of a sudden the young male gigolo guy is all in love with her for no reason. That seems completely contrived. He's had hundreds of women so I don't see why he'd be all googly-eyed over some housewife.
The whole subplot with the daughter and her boyfriend is just dull and poorly paced. Not sure why they spent the entire last episode building up what they were going to ask the parents about. That scene could have happened in 5 minutes.
I have always loved Katherine LaNasa, so I am loving seeing her in this.

I don't mind the daughter's subplot, though wasting an entire episode over her boyfriend's parents was a head-scratcher.

Adriana is the only interesting character on this show. I guess Neil and Grace will be on their own for much of this season.

I find the lead on this show just as unlikeable as Noah on The Affair, only he is (slightly) better looking.

Just got caught up with the 1st 2 episodes.
Love Adriana. Sexy and very mysterious.
Jaime Ray Newman guest starred on episode 2. I hope that wasn't it for her. Kind of a waste if it was a one-off appearance.
Was annoyed with Grace at how pissed off she got with Neil after he admitted being a male escort considering she was banging Simon left and right.
Weird seeing Grant Show in episode 2 as Simon's Dad. He's also the real-life husband of Katherine LaNasa.
It's a shame this show is on basic cable and USA. I think they are somewhat creatively restricted. They could really push some things and make the show a lot more sexual if this was on Cinemax or HBO. This show does manage to cast some really beautiful women.
