This will likely be the key episode for me knowing if I will be looking forward to every week or watching the clock to see how the series will end (if it gets an end). And it looks like this will be all about how Jericho Stanley's character fits into the storyline.

meh, this show is all over the place. Minimally intrigued, and interest is fading fast.

This is the anti "Leftovers" for me. It seems clear to me it's going somewhere. I like the cinematography. I like the SciFi aspects (though obviously some of the special effects are cheesy on a TV budget). I don't think Halle is adding anything in particular to her role, but big names do bring eyeballs, so maybe she was worth what they had to pay.

We have Aliens. And they're taking the form of loved ones to comfort their first contacts. What's their nature? What are their abilities? Do they come in peace? Why are they impregnating people without their permission? Was it a gift to Molly (Halle) knowing she'd been barren and badly wants a child? Private NASA knows something went on with the first astronaut but is keeping that information on lockdown. They're trying to explore what happened while being very cautious. I find it all quite interesting so far.

That is a very succinct summation of the show to date. I am probably not as positive on everything as you from what I have seen, but I am willing to give this premise a continued shot.

The child actor is surprisingly good in his role, possibly better than the rest of the cast. I think the series is going to develop in the direction of their artificial child being more human than their alien child.
