I feel sorry for Amber. Her game was basically destroyed by that idiot getting obsessed with her.

Yes, totally agree. Amber has been playing a good game for the most part. Even tried to get the girls together before it was too late.

CBS ought to put a stop to Caleb's behavior instead of encouraging it for ratings. He might be dangerous when they get out. He seems the type... wanting to teach Amber a lesson and bring her in line (under his control). He's delusional.

Yeah, the way Caleb talked about teaching her a lesson so she'd come back to him is clearly stalker-esque. While I think Amber led him on a bit when she knew he was interested in the beginning, it would have been clear to anyone clear-headed during their date that she was pacifying him and just not interested. Follow that with the silent treatment and he needs to take a hint. I'd be filing a restraining order when I got out if I were her.

CBS has announced that this season's finale will be 90 minutes long following the season premiere of Survivor on Sep. 24th (previously the season finale of Extant was scheduled there). This should make it the longest season of BB at 97 days. I wonder if they'll have to get rid of the second double eviction or maybe bring an evicted houseguest back.

Double evictions are tricky for them this year. Because Grodner craves the publicity his sister brings, there is no way she wants to lose Frankie before the finale. The only evictions she can't control are the back half of double evictions.

Really forcing Derrick to have to team with him is the biggest way she has saved him so far. Frankie overplayed and lost trust in the house.

Was there a live Big Brother tonight (Thursday, 8/7)? I thought it was a live, double-eviction episode, but Tivo doesn't have it listed and it didn't record. And come to think of it, I don't remember there being a teaser last night for the double-eviction like usual...

Yes, and I wasn't happy with the results It was a double eviction.

Maybe tonight's episode will be on CBS's site soon. Hopefully, they'll show it online.

Grodner's stupid Battle of the Block twist has ruined this season.

Or if you're in Texas, it was bumped until about 2:30 am thanks to some stupid Cowboys garbage.

I disagree. It much better than watching have/have-not competitions that have no affect on the actual game.

But you can't really nominate who you want to leave b/c you have to be concerned about winning/losing battle of the block. Nicole and Donny wouldn't have nominated Jocasta or Victoria last week. They had to plan for Battle of the Block. If they had nominated Derrick/Cody/Frankie/Caleb last week you're leaving yourself open to at least two of those people coming right back at you automatically.

Now, obviously, they sometimes nominated a floater with two nominations, but I think this is just another way to try to protect people that production still wants in the game.

End result last week, it was Nicole and Donny as HoH and someone neither one wanted to go home went home because of BoB. Should they just have bit the bullet and nominated people they really wanted to go home? Sure, but I can understand why they did what they did.

Re: Big Brother 16 -- now in HD! Premieres 6/25/2014

Last Thursdays show ended with five houseguests still remaining in the HOH competition. They said we would find out who became HOH on Sundays show. When Sundays show started the first question that was shown was the tiebreaker one which Nicole and Donny wound up being the closest to the actual number thus they became the two HOHs.

Was there other questions that we didn't see? If so, how many questions were asked? Or did we go right from the last question that was shown LIVE on the Thursday show to the tiebreaker question which was shown first on Sundays taped show.

I'm glad I don't know--I couldn't have taken many more rounds of tie after tie after tie.

I get what you're saying and somewhat agree, though I also agree with Groucho--at least now the competitions now have meaning.

I think what's further thrown things off is the America's Choice group. I think I'd like it better if there were three players playing for America, each with assignments, but none of them knowing the others were playing, too. Then we could have influence but not alliance-style influence.

FYI, the PGA Championship is WAY over. There is no telling at this point when tonight's episode is going to air.

Golf ran 2 hours over. I can't believe they are starting 60 Minutes at 9:00. Looks like they would have skipped it tonight and started with BB.

Geez, Caleb could have made sure his team lost if he actually took part in the BOB. It would have been very easy to throw if he had controlled one of the chains. It sounds like he did try to re-enter the comp but was told he couldn't by BB. If it did happen, they didn't show that of course.

That BoB comp was pretty crazy.

Pretty impressive showing by Frankie, though I could see that competition being easier to do solo than with a partner. Caleb could have easily sabotaged Frankie if he hadn't refused to participate.

Wouldn't surprise me; rumor has it that "production" is protecting Frankie like they have done for favored houseguests in past seasons.

Interesting item that suggests that Frankie's sudden revelation wasn't all that "sudden" after all...

There's no doubt in my mind that Grodner told Miss Frande that Caleb was going to throw the competition and that whole scene where Frande confronts Caleb was all staged to get Caleb to sit out the comp. The comp clearly was designed for a single person and the only way Frande was going to win was if Caleb did not participate. In the feeds it was reported that when Caleb realized Frande was going to win he wanted to participate (to sabotage Frande -- something he should of considered before deciding to sit out) but they wouldn't let him.

Unless they fire Grodner I think I'm done with this show after this year.

If they didn't let Caleb jump back in, why did they let Donnie?

I would imagine because he was already in the comp and just stepped aside temporarily to see if Zack could do better alone.
