Re: Last Show You Binged?

The Blacklist season 6 on Netflix. Season 7 starts on Friday. This was long delayed. I simply had no time to watch it when it premiered on NBC in January, but never intended to quit the show. So I waited until it hit Netflix. Plus, Netflix airs the show in 4K UHD.

I've watched 16 episodes over the last 2 days. Last night I stayed up until almost 2am last night.

It's a really good season. The show is still solid even though it's popularity has declined. I will try to keep up with it when it airs.

Stayed up until almost 3am finishing the Blacklist season 6. Now ready for Friday. Really solid season. Very addictive with a good season arc.

Now trying to catch up on Riverdale before season 4 premieres next week. But man, I can see why some of you struggled with it and quit. It's become hilariously bad in many aspects.

Gangs called "The Gargoyles" and "Serpents"? Archie an ex-con? Veronica running an illegal underground casino? and Betty's Mom part of a cult?

Finished it last night on Netflix.

I wanted to get caught up in time for season 4. I know most in this forum checked out of it because it went completely off the rails.

Babylon 5, Season 5

Better than most people give it credit for. And Sleeping In Light is one of the greatest series finales ever.

Damn right. Seasons 2-4 along with both series finales are imho the best tv to ever get made. Season 5 had some problems, but it’s still leagues beyond season 1.

And B5 Season 1 is still MUCH better than Seasons 1 & 2 of Star Trek TNG, and arguably better than DS9 S1.

And B5 is among the elite.

Babylon 5 is one of those shows that suck you in, take you on a fantastic journey, and make you sad and wanting more when it's over.

I just picked up Legend of the Rangers to add to the mix. Wasn't impressed with Lost Tales, and Crusade was a poor substitute. According to what I've read regarding the timeline, Legend of the Rangers fits just before A Call to Arms...

Midway through season 3 of Letterkenny, after having started it last week. Great show. The transition between S2 and S3 was pretty dark so that was unexpected.

Somewhat depends on definition of "Binged" but watching/re-watching "Wings" on Amazon prime along with "The many Loves of Dobie Gillis" as I never saw this the first time.....I can say I'm just a bit too young.

Letterkenny Season 7.

Six episode season, was largely disappointed with eps 1 - 4 but the last two were some of the better of the series.

Ronald Moore's Battlestar Galactica

The whole series.

I hadn't seen it in a decade, and I was genuinely surprised by some of the plot twists (which I had forgotten). It IS a bit inconsistent (some plot points will drive you insane with how stupid they are), but more often than not it is a very good to great show.

And the series finale was excellent. It was a very different kind of ending, but very clever and unexpected.

Undone - Amazon Prime. I’m getting tired of these shows there the ending is
Spoiler:
left open to interpretation. Like with this one, I watch 8 episodes and am left having to decide for myself if Alma is really doing these things, or just developing schizophrenia. These endings can be good if done well, but too often it feels like the writers are trying to have their cake and eat it too by trying not to alienate the percentage of the audience that has a preference regarding how the “supernatural” elements should be explained.

The Feed season 1

I rather liked this show - basically the type of concept you'd see in an episode of Black Mirror but extended to 10 episodes. I'm not sure I completely paid attention to it to know what happened, tends to happen to me on a lot of shows as I'm working at the same time, but I liked the tone, story, and characters pretty well.

The Dragon Prince Seasons 1-3

I absolutely LOVED this show. I'd been meaning to watch it for a long time but kept putting it off figured I"d end up disappointed or it would be too kid-friendly...not the case at all. While some of the themes are definitely geared towards kids, none of it felt preachy or too dumbed down. The series was quite heavy at times with the characters going through a lot of change in order to reach their goal which stretches over 3 10 episode seasons. I'm rather glad I didn't have to wait between seasons as this felt like a good conclusion if it never comes back. One of my top 5 animated shows on Netflix.
