Rewatching has been a blast. The casting director just nailed it on this show. The warts it had back then (Lana, meteor freak of the week, all of season 4) are still there and are still dreadful. I never bought into the "premiers and finales carry the show" that everyone claimed. They are clearly the highlight, but the show as a whole is very entertaining. |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
I am now caught up with Supergirl season two. I liked both seasons enough to start the Flash tonight.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Huh? You're doing it wrong. Supergirl is all kinds of average. Entertaining but mostly filler on the watchlist. It has been improving though with the alien plots this season. The CW after school special love stories drag it down, a LOT.
Flash is fun and awesome plain and simple. |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Off from work today so I got a lot of TV and movie watching.
Today I binged watched the last 6 episodes of Veep's 5th season. I got backed up when it originally aired last Spring, but planned to finish it since I have HBO/HBO Go. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/xI...Dlwyyk5K=w1264 Now I'm ready for the 6th season, which airs in a few weeks. If you follow the show, I'm really curious how it's going to work now that Selina is Spoiler:

Re: Last Show You Binged?
For some reason I skipped Veep's fifth season. I need to binge it sometime soon. Hopefully go through it all on a rainy weekend day.
Just finished Patriot on Amazon - loved it. I am working on viewing The Leftovers to catch up and watch season 3 live, but it's a slog right now (just started on third episode). |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Enjoyed Love (Netflix).
Not sure what to start next. Fargo Season 2 or go back and figure out where I stopped on Better Call Saul. |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Watched the first couple of episodes of Roadies last night. I just happened to stumble upon it. I had no idea Cameron Crowe was working on a tv show, but so far   It's damn good. It feels like a spiritual successor to Almost Famous.

I liked the show as well but wasn't happy how it ended. It looked like they were attempting to reboot the show's premise in that last episode.
On that note, it actually seems like a better fit for Netflix than CW as well. Very bingeable show. |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Flash season one.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Hap and Leonard season 1. Unexpectedly great.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Santa Clarita Diet, season 1
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
I watched the first season of Love Sick formerly known as Scrotal Recall on Netflix. It has an odd premise, a guy gets a STD and contacts/revisits all the women that he had sex with. It's a really good show though with a lot of heart.

Re: Last Show You Binged?
13 Reasons Why - Netflix. Had to take a break after watching 1 ep yesterday and 4 today, because the show is good but heavy as lead. I mean that as a compliment, because it forces you to pay attention and you would be lost if you watch while goofing on a tablet, or whatever. I did not read the book so this is a blind watch for me.

Lost: Season 1
Decided to give this a spin to show the kiddos. We burned through the whole season in about two weeks. Finished up tonight. Man, season one was just fucking brilliant from beginning to end. High on character and just enough intrigue to just keep you on the edge of your seat. I teased the kids that we don't get to start season 2 in the Fall like I had to originally. Also, I obviously knew the Arzt thing was coming and it still surprised the hell outta me again. |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Just finished up Hotel Beau Sejour. A fantastic Netflix Original Belgian murder mystery.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Five episodes of Tekkaman Blade.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Fargo season 1. Now in the middle of Fargo season 2. Own both on DVD, and watching them for the second time. Amazing for a TV show to keep so much of the high quality of the classic/cult movie.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Season 1 of "The Leftovers" that was on HBO on Saturday.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Iron Fist
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Supergirl season 1 - enjoyed it and will watch season 2
Homeland season 4 - best season in a while Iron Fist season 1 - a little uneven, but liked it The Girlfriend Experience season 1 - quite good, and would be in for more but am concerned about cast change |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Enjoyed Master of None. Happy to hear that season 2 starts soon.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Terrace House: Boys & Girls in the City on Netflix.
I just blew through all 46 episodes in 10 days. It's kind of like the first season or two of MTV's The Real World, except infinitely better. I loved every minute of it. Plus, gorgeous Japanese girls. |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
I just finished season 3 of The Strain. I thought it was really good. I'm 11 episodes in on 13 Reasons Why and had to take a break since it's such a heavy show.
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Three episodes of Dogfights
|
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Finished up season 1 of Golden Girls and moving on to season 2. The season finale was fantastic with flashbacks of how they first met.

Also binged "The Santa Clarita Diet" in one evening. Gory and funny, sort of a mix between Weeds and Dexter.

I see people talking about a Season 2. I kinda wish they'd leave it alone after this. Leave the viewers to make up their own versions of what happens to the characters after the story ends. |
Re: Last Show You Binged?
Took a break from Smallville and binged season two of Daredevil last week. Enjoyable, but a step down from season one and Jessica Jones. Might soon continue on to Luke Cage and Iron Fist, but am hearing that they're not as good either.

Arrow seasons one and two.

Re: Last Show You Binged?
I finally decided to give Parks & Recreation a try, which I tried to do a long time ago, but lost interest for some reason. This time, I'm really enjoying it. I like the fast-paced humor, it has the right amount of silliness, and Ron Swanson has to be the best character I've seen in a long, long time. He's awesome!
Other points of notice thus far: * What is everyone's problem with Jerry? He seems like a genuinely decent guy, and has good ideas, but everyone rags on him constantly. * I hate Tom Haverford so much that I hate Aziz Ansari. I would bet that he's a colossal douche in real life. * Is Leslie Knope supposed to be considered semi-attractive? I don't get that concept at all. Supreme butterface, bordering on ugly, just like Amy Poehler. Maybe that's why she was cast. * Adam Scott's tiny mouth is distracting and creepy. |

Tom's character arc makes him improve a bit as a person. Leslie/Amy is beautiful. Ok..... |

First two episodes. Assuming subsequent episodes are as good as the first two, I can see why this is so highly spoken of. |
