I liked it. Some things stretched belief--even within the conceit of the show--but I thought it was pretty well done overall. It will be interesting to see where they go with a second season.

I'm trying to binge the Expanse on Amazon, but the iPad app is being a real shit head and buffering the video every 5 minutes for an insane amount of time. I usually get frustrated waiting and switch to my back up show, Peaky Blinders.

Santa Clarita Diet Season 1 (Netflix)

Watched episode one Friday and the rest yesterday. I really liked it. Felt like a comedic version of Dexter. Was surprised to learn this was Drew Barrymore's first TV Series. Hope they get a second season.

Cheesy yet fun show. I binged s's 1 - 3 while I was laid up after my surgery. Never got to 4 and 5.

They are just as good as the first three. Plus the ending is sweet and doesn't shit all over what they did in the past. Going to rewatch Eureka now.

The second season of "Fargo".

Slow build for a couple of eps, and then it just starts rolling.

Cast is excellent, particularly Wilson, Danson, and Woodbine.

Finished the last 4 episodes of The Strain's 3rd season tonight.

I like the show, but it just kind of fell of my priority viewing schedule with so much shit airing over the last several months. Plus, FX postponing the season to late August and having it air into the Fall didn't help.

I'm actually glad that they are wrapping things up in the 4th season.

Also finished the final 5 episodes of Major Crimes 5th season Part 1. The 2nd half premieres this week.

Working through Rosewood, another night or two and I will be caught up with the past 7 episodes. Glad I decided to catch up as the cast on this show has great chemistry with each other.

Wife and I have been working through "Borgen," basically a Danish West Wing-type drama. Like it a lot, although obviously subtitles are required.

I watched most of Shadowhunters' second season, more out of obligation for its better first season. This show got put into a box when the two characters with the most chemistry were revealed to be siblings. It's a fatal error for what is a middling fantasy adventure.

Just burned through season one of Vikings. Pretty solid show. Not quite as ambitious as say, Game of Thrones, but pretty good in its own right. Love the theme song.

I loved this season. Penny Dreadful may have been too sophisticated and literate for the usual horror audience.

The last 5 episodes of Braindead. A season 2 would have had a lot of material to work with.

Did a major binge of Amazon's Sneaky Pete last week. Wow, I flew through the 10 episodes in a few days and wanted more. It took a bit to get cooking, but once it does, the plot line just hammers you nonstop with twists, turns and surprises. Cranston was so much fun as a merciless crime lord. Highly recommended.
