I liked True Detective 2 a lot. I think the reception would have been better if it wasn't called True Detective. The first season was better, had a different tone and style.

The Gentlemen (Netflix) - I really enjoyed this. I'm a fan of Guy Ritchie's crime movies--Snatch is one of my favorite movies--so this was up my alley. The series is only connected to Ritchie's The Gentlemen movie by the concept of the hidden weed farms. The characters and story are all new. Ritchie created the series and directed and co-wrote the first two episodes.

The adoptive parents then claim that Natalia is actually an adult who was lying about her age, and that they are afraid she is going to harm them. Things get crazier from there. I've just started watching season 2.

The Night Agent, season 2 (Netflix). By the end, this was reminding me of 24, not because it was happening in "real time," but because new characters would be introduced mid-stream, then be gone (usually killed) after an episode or two. And also, because the main character would get the crap kicked out of him in one episode, and then be mostly fine in the next one, with hardly any time passing.
