Alias, season 2 - A lot of big stuff happened in this season. The season finale was a real humdinger--I'll have to keep watching to see if it was a jump-the-shark moment for the series.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

Star Trek: Discovery, season 2 - I liked it overall. There's some good stuff, some bad. The whole season is one long story arc, even more so than season 1. No stand-alone episodes in this thing. Lots of action scenes, including big space battles. A very cinematic look to the show. I still don't understand WTF Ash Tyler is. I liked Anson Mount as Captain Pike and I'm glad they kept Michelle Yeoh around.

Re: Last Show You Binged?

Technically, I have just started my binge but for one reason or another I never watched the show Stargate SG 1, which ran for 10 seasons and even had spin-offs. This is one of those shows I have always wanted to start up and I guess now is the time. I watched the pilot episode on Netflix last night and plan to continue watching. It may take a very long time to get through all the seasons but as long as the show ends up on one streaming platform or another I should be able to make some in-roads and knock out at least a few seasons this year (with so much other stuff to watch it will slow down the pace of plowing through episodes).

The biggest surprise to me is that one of the things Netflix warns you of (where they usually say there is smoking, drinking, violence, etc. in a show or film) is that there is Nudity in the first episode and I thought to myself maybe the show was designed both for a European and U.S. audience, with the European viewers not shocked by seeing something like someone's' bum on a tv show (which would be blurred/edited out for the U.S. airing). I did not think the nudity would be complete as the scene where the woman is being placed on the chamber to be evaluated by the the aliens for being a suitable host is one where she is completely in her Birthday suit. I suspect that never made it's way to the U.S. airing and maybe not even on the U.S. DVD sets that were produced for this show.

Nice to know that this seems to indicate I will be watching episodes that should be uncut and uncensored on Netflix. Finally, this show looks a wee bit better in PQ on Netflix than say, the eps of Deep Space Nine I have watched but only a bit better. Should be fun to catch up on this blind spot of mine.

ETA: So I googled and it turns out the pilot is the only ep with nudity and I did not know the show was first developed for the Showtime Premium Cable Channel which certainly explains the mature content. What is funny is that the final cut of the pilot exists without the nude scene, and of course other streamers have aired the more PG friendly version of the pilot. I guess only the pilot contained any nudity and the rest of the eps did not need to be censored for content. Who knew...had no clue the show was originally being considered for Showtime which strikes me as an odd Premium channel that would have wanted to air this type of show. It does explain the gorgeous woman in her Birthday suit though, lol!
