I wasn't quite sure where to put this... but Lucy Lawless will have a role on SHIELD next year.

I think a show like Agent Carter would be better in a small order every year. It's a great idea to fill the gap in between a break on AoS.

Re: Marvel's Agent Carter coming to ABC next season
Looks like the greater Marvel Universe is truly coming to the upcoming Marvel’s Agent Carter - at last behind the camera. It was announced today on the Marvel TV panel at Comic-Con that Captain America: The Winter Soldier, directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo will be helming the second and third episode of the ABC series set to debut in 2015. Captain America: The First Avenger director Joe Johnson will helm the fourth episode with Marvel Studios co-president Louis D’Esposito set to direct the first Agent Carter. The announcements were made after a short teaser video for the seres was shown to a packed Ballroom 20. Mostly full of a voiceover via President Harry Truman, the post-WWII era set series promised the fans that they would discover a “different side of the Marvel Universe.” Agent Carter picks up in 1946 with the war and the first version of S.H.I.E.L.D. is coming together as the Cold War heats up. Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb said that the show hasn’t started actually stated filming and its writer’s room will open next week. Agent Carter has Reaper creators Michele Fazekas & Tara Butters serving as executive producers/showrunners with Captain America: The First Avenger‘s Steve McFeely & Christopher Marcus and they were all on the panel today along with star Hayley Atwell Inspired by the Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter with Atwell reprising her WWII-era role from 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, AC will debut on ABC next year. Atwell, who showed up briefly in the contemporary based Winter Soldier, will also be seen as Peggy Carter next year in the Joss Whedon-helmed Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Agent Carter’s straight-to-series order was announced on May 8 the same day that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was renewed by ABC for a second season. The cast of S.H.I.E.L.D. were also on the pane today with Clark “Agent Phil Coulson” Gregg coming out to a thunderous standing ovation. The panel confirmed that Lucy Lawless will be joining the show in the second season as a longtime S.H.I.E.L.D. While very much a part of the greater Marvel Universe, the first season of S.H.I.E.L.D. mostly stayed away from the direct crossovers with the movies that many expected. Only towards the end of the cycle did the show link storylines with the big screen and the Captain America sequel on April 1. Of course, the ramifications of the events of Winter Soldier will, as the panel discussed today, very much set the tone and direction of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2, especially with Agent Phil now Director of the tattered and compromised agency. S.H.I.E.L.D’s second season is set to debut on September 23rd

Enver Gjokaj is set to co-star opposite Hayley Atwell in Marvel’s Agent Carter, ABC’s new series designed to serve as a bridge between the fall and spring runs of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Inspired by the feature films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, along with the short Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter, the series stars Captain America’s Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt her a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert Strategic Scientific Reserve, Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers. Gjokaj will play the sweet and honorable Agent Daniel Sousa, a true war hero who has risked his life many times – resulting once in a crippling leg injury. Gjokaj, repped by ICM Partners, Suskin Management and Jackoway Tyreman, is an extended member of the Marvel family — he had a small part in The Avengers movie.

“Nikita” star Lyndsy Fonseca has joined ABC and Marvel’s “Agent Carter” in a recurring role, Marvel announced Friday.
The actress will play Angie Martinelli, an aspiring actress who befriends Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) in the midseason “Captain America” spinoff.
“‘Marvel’s Agent Carter’ opens up an exciting world of new characters for us,” said Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of TV. “Lyndsy brings a warmth and humanity to Angie, who’ll be the friend Peggy needs if she’s to survive the dangers that lie ahead.”
Fonseca joins other recently announced “Agent Carter” cast additions James D’Arcy, Enver Gjokaj and Chad Michael Murray. The series stars Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter as she attempts to balance routine office work for the Strategic Scientific Reserve with the secret missions she undertakes with inventor Howard Stark, played by Dominic Cooper.
In addition to her series regular role on The CW’s “Nikita,” Fonseca had notable roles on “How I Met Your Mother,” “Desperate Housewives” and “Big Love.” She’s repped by ICM Partners and Management 360.

Bridget Regan will be guest starring on Agent Carter. Some of you may remember her from White Collar last season.

Gang, I know I'm prone to hyperbole, but the #AgentCarter pilot is perfect. @HayleyAtwell is flawless. It is everything I wanted and more.
