I'll be the first to state that the promo still looks really lame. Why not have a picture of an actual production photograph? Nevertheless, will be viewing ep.4 with keen interest.

Because those are what they put on billboards and buses for mass audiences. A production still would only have a few characters on it, since they're so spread out geographically.

- Don’s not allowed to be alone with clients.
- In meetings he has to stick to the script hammered out by the other partners.
- No drinking in the office.
- He’ll work from Lane’s old office
- He’ll report to Lou.
I guess you could argue that talking to the computer guy and trying to turn it into a pitch constitutes being alone with clients.

I think it's more a matter of Cooper and Joan wanting the fuck rid of the guy.
He's not going down like that, though. And for that bit of assholery after the racism thing Cooper can go ahead and die already. Somebody is getting executed by that computer in episode 7 for the death unless they really are going to go the Sharon Tate route. May as well be the old man.

Loved the Freddie seems to have pulled Don out of it, and now Don is going to go to work every day and just do his work and wait.
Couldn't agree more with the comment about Cooper, what the hell has he done the last decade?
Man is Cutler simply clueless about Ted and LA.

Also, they should have put Ginsberg on the Burger Chef account, because his comment about the couch -- "The other one is full of farts" -- would have been a perfect Burger Chef tag.
More seriously, someone just pointed out to me that we are in 1969 now, the season of the Miracle Mets -- lovable losers who were counted out and written off, but shocked everyone by winning the World Series. Foreshadowing for Don?

Yep, Bertram can go fuck himself. A shame, because I've liked his character up until this season.
Don wasn't alone with a client. He was alone with a 'potential' client. IMHO, there's a world of difference between the two.
Roger's daughter looked pretty hot in her hippy getup.
Rumsen FTW! He's a very good actor. I hope they use him more.
Biggest WTF moment was that there are only 3 episodes left. Fuck you, AMC, for spreading this out like that.

Cooper probably said his last words. Just saying.
And not, Don just can't go to the office every day and do his work. That's lame.
Since it's clear that he would end creating his own company, I wonder about Peggy. Most people always thought that they will end, working, together. I guess they need to include some "drama", before that.

Can't stand Peggy, can't stand Bert, can't stand Joan (unless on mute)--just not a fan of the way everyone is to Don. I want him to tell them all to go...

So does everyone think there will be some kind of big cliffhanger after Episode 7 to make people want to come back a year from now?

Hilarious that I hate every character now except for Pete when he was the only one I hated before (loved to hate that is - really 'loved' his character in previous seasons).
Promo for next episode: "There are only three episodes left this season..."

The look Don gave Peggy during that meeting was venomous. He was ready to kill her.
That alone makes Don such a whiny baby. Suck it up, Don!
Peggy loved having this power over Don, until he defied her and she realized she didn't have the power after all and is chicken shit of Don.
At the same time, Bert just wants to put Don in his place and keep him there. He'd sacrifice potential clients to do this.
There's not been nearly enough Pete this season.
Personally, I don't give a shit about Rogers daughter and the shit that's going on with his family. I hope they drop this already - although I suspect something bad will happen to her... otherwise, what's the point?

Yeah, count me as another who did a double take when I heard "Only three more episodes..."
But I read during the premiere of this season, that the actors don't know how it ends, so I am assuming they still haven't filmed a few of them or something? Even though it's claimed that they're in the can? What's the actual story on that.

Even though confidentiality contracts are signed, they're probably worried it would leak in a year's time.

I quit drinking and smoking back in December, and watching Don get drunk made me feel ill. I forgot how easily to you can drink too much and start feeling like shit.
I also like how people are offended Bert and others are trying to force Don out, when Don Draper has to be the most loathsome character in the history of television. I literally cannot think of one decent thing I've ever seen him do.

Re: Mad Men -- "The Monolith" -- 5/04/14
It has occurred to me it would be a disaster if the episodes got bit-torrented, which makes me think if AMC was smart, they would hold off post-production until closer to the air date. I mean, you can't leak the episodes if they don't exist yet.
