Yes it is.

Which character is it representing?

The guy who won the pissing contest for Dany in the last episode. I forget his name. The one that has a new actor playing him this season.

They're really mixing things up a bit on this show it seems, but I haven't read past Feast For Crows, so I only have a vague notion of whether or not some of tonigh was Dance With Dragons. Nevertheless, I can tell they're switching up the order of things. This ep. didn't seem as much like filler as last week, but it's obvious they're stalling for time .

At least now we know how White Walkers are made.

None of the stuff north of the wall tonight was from the books.

Wow, book readers got spoiled tonight. Have no issues whatsover with the changes made to the story. The stuff North of the Wall is arguably stronger than the books possibly. And the ending was sheer awesomeness. Loved Sansa finally coming a little out of her shell. Loved the bits with Jamie and Brienne. Hell, I loved everything.

Book spoiler:
Spoiler:
Dany finally showing the first slips on her sanity.

WOW. One of the best episodes of the series. Some will hate it because it didn't have "action. but that was incredible.

I thought the white walker at the end sort of looked like Joffrey. He seemed to have a crown type thing going on with his head. I'm sure that wasn't supposed to be him though.

Poor Hodor :(

So Jon Snow and his group have to cover 60 miles to get to Craster's Keep? Is that right?

Was that they first time that Jon Snow was referred to as Jon Stark?

Any chance of Podrick showing off his lovemaking skills to Brienne?

When/Why did Noah Taylor's Locke leave the Bolton camp for the The Wall?

Love seeing Jaime give Brienne a new task, and sending Podrick along was perfect.

Uh... I read the books and I'm pretty sure I don't remember any of this. Glad to see it wasn't me. The variations away from the book's plot are all terrific ideas, though. They sure are stacking up. I think they're trying to deal with the:
Spoiler:
mess that is "A Feast for Crows"

(spoiler only for those very, very sensitive.)

Awesome episode, one of the best.

Kinda random, but is Joffrey going to be buried with his valaryian sword?

Happened last week: Bolton sends him to the wall to find Bran and Rickon. It was mentioned in the "previously on..." this week as well.

Sidenote: every time I see Locke, I'm struck by how much he looks like Christopher Guest's "six fingered man" in "The Princess Bride". I half expect him to say "I'm sucking life.".

He's trying to find Bran and Rickon, and kill Jon as well to wipe out the male Starks. They showed the scene where Roose Bolton offers him 1,000 acres and a holdfast if Locke found them in the open before the credits.

I remember that scene now.

Hbo go doesn't show the previously on piece.

Well if the show is canon then they just explained the Joffery assassination to all the book readers

You mean the one that the White Walker took? No, Gilly is south of the Wall with her baby. That was a newly born son of Craster.

Ser Pounce!

Really good episode, and yes, it's definitely taking a different turn from the books...at least the portion of the show that takes place in the North. No complaints though.

Ahhh...I knew he looked like someone; that's it exactly!

Mod note: Come on, folks...we're in season 4 of this show. Everybody should know to tag book spoilers. Also, it doesn't help to complain about the spoiler in open posts either. Please report the post or message a mod.
