Yikes, I felt kind of dirty seeing Jamie and Cersei's scene. That's a very twisted family.

That last sequence with Daenerys was pretty cool. What was the purpose of launching those canisters with the collars again?

As for Daario, I don't think the actor from last season made that much of an impression on me where I would be really critical of the recasting. The last scene with him was pretty badass I thought.

She was showing the Slaves of Mereen that she is the, ahem..Breaker of Chains. The collars that the slaves were wearing in Mereen were the collars her army used to wear. Its a call to rebellion.

Yep - it'll be a lot easier for her to take the city if the slaves revolt on the inside. The collars provide the inspiration.

As mentioned up thread, everyone thinks Bran and Rickon are dead. With Rob and the other true born male heirs "dead", that makes Sansa as the eldest female the heir to Winterfell. That's why the Tyrell's and Lannister's were jocking to marry her last year.

In the books, Rob try to supercede that by naming Jon his heir before he died, but since they didn't show that last year, and Rob's dead I don't think that's going to happen this year.

in the books, Robb's wife didn't make the Red Wedding and there was a theory that she escaped Riverun with the Blackfish with Robb's child/heir. So, that was a major departure.

imagine the dots are circles around the person they're under rather than actual dots.

Not sure if it's been posted before, but here's a really cool interactive map of Westeros:

The title of the image is actually more helpful.

The actors are same on both sides. Look at same color dots.

I think we're supposed to be outraged that HBO is using digital trickery instead of hiring more actors.

Have Ser Pounce, Ser Boots, and Lady Whiskers been cast?

Yes, someone tell us. Then we can all wait for sunset to kiss a dancing blackamoor before applying delicate face powders.

That't the big complaint I have with this episode. So far in the show, they've tried to show a bit of Jamie redeeming himself. Sure, he's still not a saint, but hes come a ways since when we were first introduced to him in the first episode.

Very minor book discussion. Not sure I'd call it a spoiler.. but just in case.

Spoiler:
In the book, I think its a bit easier to see his transformation, for lack of a better word.. I had hoped the show would kind of follow that with his character progression.

This episode, however, seems to have just thrown what build up to that they have shown us so far.

I think it shows that, like everyone else on this show, they are all "grey" characters.

I was wondering that too, not sure why people were being vague about it

As for Jamie, the "rape" kind of bothered me too, especially since I was the one in the previous thread saying I was feeling bad for him as he was getting shit on by his father, Joffrey, and Cersei. Reading the discussion and comparison with the book, I wish they made it look more mutual.

At the end of the day, they're all scumbags who are capable of good deeds but mostly do things out of self interest.

Every time I think the hound is turning a corner and maybe becoming a bit of a tolerable guy he does something to show what an asshat he really is. I don't care if he's right or not.. you don't beat up and steal from a guy who just helped you. Especially in front of his kid. I hope he dies in a fire.

well, they already killed off the actor that is playing the new Tommen. He was one of the cousin Lannister that Rickard Karstark killed last season.

I thought the dots was some kind of Dunes reference.

Clearly the inhabitants of Meereen are Cylons. Danerys will need to send her dragons to destroy the resurrection hub.
