Wow, I didn't expect to see that character that showed up at the end on this show ever again. Good surpirse.

Yeah, that was a pretty damn good reveal at the end. Although, I must say, once they did the secret car swap thing, indicative of some hidden person in protective custody, I sort of got an idea that person might show up.
That bookstore massacre was crazy. This show is insanely violent and it's pretty cool that we get to see most of it.

That was a really great reveal at the end. I guess when you put things together Mike being led there & knowing about it made sense.
Poor Ryan, what the hell is he going to do now?

Yep, another great episode. The violence is borderline for a network show, and for this time.
I don't like that Ryan is having a love interest, unless it's all a ruse from his part. He knows that any person that he loves is immediately a target, and that he's being watched. If he has a new love partner, that person is going to be dead soon.

I called the reveal to my wife during the first episode of this season, and I usually never get those kinds of things right. I thought it was pretty obvious, and I am sure a lot of others did too if I got it.

Standard TV procedure. Her death wasn't completely confirmed on screen, which means they're leaving the door open.

Yup, it blowing away last season and I wasn't even going to watch this one. Joe is actually funnier this season. I hope the writers can keep it up. It's been a blast so far.

I too must admit this has been a consistent guilty pleasure for me this season. Both Bacon and Purefoy seem to be chewing their scenes and the direction this season is taking is unexpectedly good. The bookstore scene was pretty effective last night.

Am I the only one that thinks that
is working for/with Joe? I've thought it from the second or third episode, but it seems to be more obvious as the season progresses.
This show REALLY needs to find a way to get Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy in the same scenes. They had a little in Season 1 when Joe was behind bars, but little since then. I'd love to see some kind of scenario in Season 3 where the two are forced to work together for a similar goal (maybe some other serial killer kidnaps Claire?). Yeah, it's implausible, but this show is so implausible anyway I'd like to see it happen.

Everything is possible. In the first season a lot of us thought that maybe Mike was part of Joe's cult.
And that's a great idea for season 3. I mean, Ryan is already working with Mike, who's a little bit crazy. Just go one step ahead with Joe.
Anything is possible with this show.

Re: The Following -- "Unmasked" -- 3/17/14
I'm kinda torn. I'm enjoying the show but I kinda miss the utter retardedness of last season. So it was kind of nostalgic to see Mendez' utter stupidity and sheer incompetence. She has clearly finally figured out that her ex is part of Joe's cult - so does she take a dozen agents and quickly arrest her, thereby safeguarding the children? No, she decides she has to have a one on one emo confrontation with a dangerous wackjob and even though she's packing, she's caught off guard and stabbed, kicked and spit on.
By the way, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if Mike did turn out to be a Joey in the end.
