The Dean dressed up as a peanut and rapping was one of the best Dean moments in the show's history.

Mitch Hurwitz last episode, Vince Gilligan this one. I'm glad they took my suggestion to start casting the creators of my favorite shows seriously. I look forward to the eventual Alan Spencer ep.

Loved seeing Vince Gilligan. And Abed's third-act apology in the rain.

My wife was rolling at the VCR game. She had one when she was younger (with a cryptkeeper guy), and said it was spot on.

Great episode. I wish we could get more seasons with Banks as a cast member. He's a perfect addition.

Loved that the couch covering seemed to be the same pattern as the Dreamatorium.

This is what I would describe as a "perfectly acceptable" episode of Community. When the show is long gone it will probably won't be in the top 30 or 40 episodes anyone remembers, but it made me laugh and sometimes that's enough. I thought the b-story was a little weak and could have had a little more to offer, but it was ok.
I may sound like a broken record, but once again, in my opinion the dean is being used perfectly this year. He's hilarious just about every time he shows up, but he's not overused. Also, they've really toned down some of the more outrageous aspects of his character (which were funny at first, but got old). The peanut rap was great and I thought the scene at the end when he was writing a new rap was even funnier. Chang's been great too, although I wish they'd do a better job incorporating his (and Jeff's) role as a teacher. I'd love to see an episode with Jeff, Chang, Hickey and Duncan doing something together.
One other thing...it was good to see Pavel back even if he didn't do/say much. He's one of my favorite recurring characters.

Dean was a Payday not a peanut.
This season has been great.
That vcr game was crazy. I lived during the age of tape but never saw one of those games.

I thought this episode was great. Even though the theme episodes are high points, I really appreciate these more scaled back episodes. It's like a breather episode, while still being really funny. This might be my favorite episode of the season so far.
I'm also amused that Annie is always rocking business casual slacks now.
Those VCR games were the worst!

This back stretch of episodes have been fantastic. I liked Troy but the episodes seem to breathe better with fewer cast members. I think they might have needed to pare this cast down a couple of years ago.

Surprised no mention yet of Paul Williams showing up as the fence for the text books. Nearly spit up my drink when I saw him. Overall, a pretty solid episode.

If I didn't know it was her, I never would have guessed she also played Envy Adams in "Scott Pilgrim".
