Resurrection (ABC) Season Thread Starts Sun March 9

The people of Arcadia, Missouri are forever changed when their deceased loved ones suddenly start to return. An 8-year-old American boy wakes up alone in a rice paddy in a rural Chinese province with no idea how he got there. Details start to emerge when the boy, who calls himself Jacob, recalls that his hometown is Arcadia, and an Immigration agent, J. Martin Bellamy, takes him there. The home he claims as his own is occupied by an elderly couple, Henry and Lucille Langston, who lost their son, Jacob, more than 30 years ago. While they look different, young Jacob recognizes them as his parents. Those closest to the family try to unravel this impossible mystery — but this boy who claims to be the deceased Jacob knows secrets about his own death that no one else knows.

Anybody else looking forward to this? I enjoyed the French series "the Returned" on Sundance Channel so hopefully this will be something along those lines. Kurthwood Smith is a big thumbsup and I like it has only an 8 episode order.

Yeah, I'll check out this "Limited" Series. That's what we can call all these One and Done's. It's the new cool thing to do.

Hoping Netflix or Amazon picks up the original for streaming (I don't get Sundance). Will be tuning in for this one though. Please let this be an intelligent "supernatural" thriller (which I have heard the French one is). We need one.

I'll bet a second season is announced before the third episode airs.

The Returned (French version) will be posted on Netflix Monday.

Is this based on the Returned? or the plot is just similar.

I'm interested in this show based in the description posted by chowderhead.

I'm excited about this. I started the book the show is based. Half way there and it's pretty interesting. It's a short book, 350 pages or so, I should be done before the premiere.

And answering my own question, Resurrection is not related to The Returned, the french series. It's based on the book The Returned, that's not either related to the french series.
