This was a really good episode (up until the stupid ending). I liked the plot where they dealt with nanobots and Gabriel hand-in-hand, and anything that explores the relationship as Gabriel as part of a new or "next-generation" of human evolution is where this show should be going.
But when they rolled out the old sci-fi tropes of how the scientist had to appear dead for the nanobots to abandon the body I blanched.
Other than that it was good stuff.

I know the romantic relationship between Gabriel and Riley is inevitable but I hope they hold out for a while. I'd prefer the interaction to be like the lead in the early years of Law and Order: SUV. Of course if the show's canceled it will be moot.

Other than that, the other stuff as you said was pretty cool.
I think it's a little too early, but it's kind of obvious they are playing up some sexual tension between Riley and Gabriel.

Yup, agree. I rolled my eyes at that predictable and very clichéd scene with the old scientist near death.
Other than that, the other stuff as you said was pretty cool.

I don't love the show but have been DVR'ing it and staying current. The wife has given up on it. Went to play it the other night and she said she doesn't really care for it. So I'll probably stick with it for a little while anyway.
