Re: The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon Discussion Thread

Kimmel hosted Fallon tonight, Fallon hosted Kimmel.

I liked Matt Damon on Kimmel hosted by Fallon.

One of the better April Fools jokes you can pull off

I wish Leno and Letterman did that and that would have been huge back in the day.

Letterman hated Leno.

I know that but still it would have been something if it happened or if we ever got them for a sit down interview with each other.

Blame that one on Leno for stabbing Letterman in the back. They were good buddies until Leno stole the Tonight Show from under him.

And many of
Letterman’s bits.

Now Leno is hosting another remake of You Bet Your Life.
Last person to do that was Cosby.

The guys in charge of NBC back then wanted Leno since they felt he was more of the company guy and one of the execs said Letterman was a jerk.

Ha! The only thing that makes people start posting in the Fallon thread is talking about Leno and Letterman.

Fallon and his show are both really terrible. Fallon is good at doing impressions but that’s about it.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of Fallon at all, this was a good April Fools joke though.

This clip alone is enough to show what a douchebag Fallon is. Does NBC have standards and practices anymore? He’s shilled NFTs and crypto multiple times on the show- you think he’d get fined for that.

Edit- Starts around 3:40.

Half (maybe more) of those people have no idea what they’re getting or will be able to redeem it.

Worst part of this is you know they know what a scam it is yet they’re shilling it anyways. I’m surprised NBC is letting him get away with this shit. I wonder if they’re fining him and/or reprimanding him behind the scenes?

Ethically, how is this different than letting a celebrity come on the show to promote her new perfume, or Fallon endlessly hawking his insanely over-priced childrens' books?

Because NFTs are snake oil. At least with perfume or a book you’re actually owning something, with NFTs it’s not even that.

Re: The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon Discussion Thread

When Fallon did the Kimmel show there was more energy and the audience was more receptive to him than the NY audience with Kimmel hosting the Tonight Show.

I bet ABC might want to do a trade with NBC.

Maybe it is a LA vs NY thing where LA people are happier and more positive than NY people.

Despite the opinions of most on this forum, Jimmy Fallon is very popular with the unwashed masses, whether in NY, LA, or in between.

I've never had a problem with Fallon. I don't go out of my way to watch his show but I'll check it out if nothing is on the air.

Re: The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon Discussion Thread

I am a Fallon fan and I know it is not comedy pushing boundaries but he does not hit you over the head with political talk like the other shows and his show is entertaining and fun.

My idea of entertainment is not watching Elizabeth Warren on Colbert
