The cable companies know their temporary monopolies on television service are likely to get decimated by streaming and IP television within the next decade. Unfortunately, they've simply decided to become a monopoly in the Internet provider space to replace their cable monopolies.

Wireless delivery of all content can't come soon enough.

I just left my job at one of the 24 hour networks owned by TWC and started with Bright House in Florida...hope they don't get greedy and go after us now.

Got the TWC bill today and found they are raising rates and fees again. Luckily I just signed a promo deal because otherwise my bill would have gone up $20 a month, or over 13%. The "Guide" fee for tv listings was $.50 a month total, now it's going to be $3.27 per TV.

I'm sure you saw the news report of how many customers TWC is losing to other options. They have a great business model, hike up prices on the remaining customers to make up the difference for those who left because the prices were too high or the customer service was generally the suck.
