I haven't watched this episode yet but my Dish DVR gave the same description about the episode without quotes around cure. If he really cures her this episode that is a bit of a spoiler in the description (not you DJariya)...I don't think it was hinted at in the previews.
I guess giving her a temporary cure is the only way to keep her on the show since the virus seems to take down everyone pretty quick.

Was the location mentioned in the first episode? They are within a snow mobile ride of an arctic village. So maybe northern Canada -- That's polar bear country. I had thought they were far out on the ice.

I hadn't worried too much before about the acting complaints, but this show has a number of bad performances. Outside of Billy Campbell, it has been amateur hour.

Yeah, the previews looked silly. It looked really campy.
But yeah, it's like Campbell is in a different show, when we talk about acting.

That arctic policewoman thing came completely out of left field for me. And while I'm enjoying the ride, as mentioned above, the acting is pretty bad.

Yeah it seemed like they were in a location that could not support any life because of its remoteness and cold and the there is a whole town in walking distance.

Policegirl McTwinbrothers is her Inuit name ... Since we are starting this game: how about Cancer-cuty McMorphine? Big Brother SpongeBob McBlackBreath?
While the village being nearby does help to explain some of the plot, it is definitely groan-worthy. It was well established in the first episodes that the facility is as remote as remote can get other than a settelment large enough to have lost 30 children in 20 years with nobody really noticing. However it is beyond the reach of any governing authority except for the local sheriff whom we forgot to mention ...
Wherever they are, it is OK to conduct unethical and illegal scientific research which will likely destroy humanity ... however you better not break the speed limit on a snowmobile.

Couldn't remember her first name. Julia?
