Most attractive person on TV?

No, that you're crazy for thinking that it makes less attractive. The mole is a distinguishing feature that actually makes her more attractive. Some women paint one on, for crying out loud. If a little mole pushes you away from girls like Estella, Cindy Crawford, Kate Upton, etc., you're insane. I'm sure that your supermodel girlfriend is much prettier than them.

Oh. You're going to get the wrath of our resident arbiter of what is beautiful. Theirs is the only valid opinion on the matter, apparently.

Wow. You're pretty fucking arrogant to think that you're opinion on a subjective matter like beauty is somehow more valid. Every time someone points out something that they don't find attractive on someone people like you reply with the same bullshit. Typical "oh your girlfriend must be a supermodel" tired bullshit. Oh, and by the way, I didn't say it made her less attractive. If you had bothered to read my post fully before you flew off the handle, you would have realized that.

You said "off putting"
If you're going to say that doesn't mean that it makes her less attractive in your eyes, then you're just arguing semantics.

Not arguing semantics at all. I was simply using the standard definition of off putting. You just read into it WAY too much. Regardless, you believe that your opinion is somehow more valid than others. That is a bit more problematic. Perhaps you should work on that.

off-put·ting

Exactly that. Unpleasant or disconcerting. The mole itself may be unattractive, doesn't mean that she is unattractive. In fact, if certain people had bothered to read my whole post I even said she was an attractive girl. Good to see that we are now debating the attractiveness of a mole though. Seems worthwhile.

While you can also answer that you just (subjectvely) like what you like and don't like what you don't like, if that taste deviates from society's objective standards --objective in the sense that such a strong consensus has formed so that the idea of physical attractiveness can be immediately understood by everyone in the society-- then you should expect someone to, at least, look at you funny when you express an opinion that is outside the norm.
I always think about this kind of thing this way: You are certainly entitled to the opinion that chocolate tastes terrible. But that makes you a real fucking weirdo. And if go around asking people eating chocolate ice cream how they can stand to eat something that tastes like shit, people will think you are crazy.

And actually, while it is true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is also true that we are all members of a culture that has established normative standards for ideals of feminine attractiveness.

After knocking out 24 S8 yesterday, Necar Zadegan is great. Oh, and she has a mole. All of your moles belong to us:

Re: Most attractive person on TV?
So now you're claiming that moles are part of the "normative standards for ideals of feminine attractiveness" that we as a society have established? And since I don't find moles particularly attractive, and you claim that is out of the norm, that makes me a real fucking weirdo? Talk about fucking crazy. You're crazier than Obi is.
I am saying that Estella Warren, in her prime modeling years, was (objectively by normative standards) easily in the 99th percentile for sexiness and beauty, and so your saying that you find something about her appearance unappealing or off-putting makes you an outlier in a discussion of female attractiveness.
Therefore, you can and should expect (when having voiced such an opinion) to be regarded with disbelief.
It's not about the fact that you don't like moles. It's about the amazing idea that you would find something so incredibly trivial to criticize about this woman's overall stunning appearance.
The Austin Powers picture posted was quite appropriate, as you seem unable to focus on anything but the mole. And it is made even odder by the fact that compared to Cindy Crawford, Warren's mole is barely visible.

Gillian Anderson had the right idea when she chose to cover her mole for The X-Files.

Wow. The leaps you take here are almost as big as the ones that Obi took. Why don't you actually try reading the thread and not just telling me what you incorrectly think I said. Actually read it.
I get that you're one of the resident trolls here, but surely you should be able to read, right?

The big picture is that someone made a reference to a woman who was an exceptional beauty by every measure, and you felt compelled to point out that she had a physical flaw that you found unattractive. My reaction was that you sounded crazy.
I'm not trolling. I'm engaging in an honest discussion, and presenting my reaction to your opinion. I think I've shown you respect by taking the time to explain my thoughts.
The truth is, if anyone is a troll, it is you. A troll is someone who posts intentional outrageous opinions with the intent of provoking reactions. Why bring up your thoughts on her mole to begin with? Just to have some contrarian comment to make about a gorgeous woman?
You found something to criticize about a woman who wouldn't notice you if you were on fire.

Sorry to distract from the great mole debate going on, but I'm watching the second season of The Durrells in Corfu. There's a stunning actress who plays a temptress and antagonist to the family.
