I want to like this, but I'm really having trouble staying interested. Nor sure how much longer I'll last.

Finally caught up with episodes 2-3 last night and this is pretty much where I'm at. I'm just not really connecting with any of the characters and as a result, don't particularly care what happens.

Season 1 is only 8 episodes so we'll be halfway through after this weekend.

Yea...agreed. I've finally asleep during every episode.

Ditto on all counts. This ep. was the worst/most boring for me. Will try hang in, but...

And another actionless land-locked episode of a pirate show. My interest is slowly waining on this one.

Yeah, some tension with the tipping ship (had to go save that cat!). Didn't care for this episode.

Possibly one of the worst merkins I've ever seen. Looked like Ms. Barlow had a dead skunk between her legs.

Haven't seen this ep. yet, but the first meh reactions were discouraging enough...and then this observation appeared

8 episodes. We're halfway through. Season 2 gets 10.

I'm still on board. I like that we are getting some stories here first. I want to know who these characters are and what their intentions are.
I was OK with the merkin. Good to know they wont be showing any shaved vag in this series.
You knew the ship was going to come crashing down after the Two guys got yelled at for placing the ties on the wrong tree and then leaving. It would have been better though had it came 'crashing' down and Michael Bay style explosions!

Don't they have the technology/skills to make realistic, life-like merkins? Could they be afraid if the merkins look too real that people thinks that the women were actually exposing it all? Otherwise I don't understand the point of a wet/dead skunk look as merkins either...

And Optimus Prime had shown up to catch it!

To save a cat they lost a man and another's leg. Seems like a fair trade...

And with it being semitropical it most likely smelled like one as well...

"Hey look! This series called 'Black Sails' is finally doing something with a ship! Oh, never mind...they're just beaching it so it can be on land with the rest of the cast."

Is it safe to assume that Captain Flint intentionally left the trouble-making crewman to die under the teetering ship? And the first words out of your mouth while watching a steamy sex scene shouldn't be "Where do they find those merkins?" This show is a mess but I'll probably finish out the season based on sheer inertia.

That is a safe assumption to make.

Comcast just gave me Starz and HBO for $1 a month so gonna get to watch this live.

Finally get some action at sea. I think it's too little too late though since I'm not really following what's going on at this point.

I absolutely love this show. Probably my favorite on tv at the moment.
