I find some aspects of the show amusing and I'll continue watching because it's kinda weird.

I enjoy the Martha character the most and want to see more of her story lines. I liked that it seemed her whole reason for not wanting to get fired was that it would upset her manager for having to go through with the firing.

I also enjoy watching shows where the characters seem to lead sad lives. I don't know why that is.

Louie Anderson is perfect in this.

I don't think that anyone actually makes a 4K TV in 32". $900 is definitely a rip off though. He should have been able to get something much bigger for that price.

Why doesn't he just forget about his wife and bang his dumpy friend?

I love the fact that it is just Louie in a wig, no fake voice or any attempt to make him look like a woman

He seems to be disgusted by anyone in his life who genuinely cares about him (mom, brother, insurance lady). And he dotes on the one person who treats him like a doormat and doesn't give 2 shits about him.

I know this show doesn't seem well received here, but I am drawn to it. Louis Anderson as the mom is just so good. I could watch a show of just Louie playing that character all day.

I also really liked Chip and him picturing himself smoking in France.

The weird thing is that a few times I forgot the mom was being played by a man (much less Louie Anderson) for a few seconds.

I'm enjoying it quite a bit, but I could certainly understand it not being for everyone. Fortunately they can tune in to 2 Broke Girls instead.

I'm enjoying it also. That was sweet how his mom went into action and took care of frenchie after she learned she was just using Chip and didn't have any feelings for him.

This latest episode was interesting.

Chip doing something selfless - never thought I'd see that.

Loved that every time Chip cracked a joke the cricket happened to chirp right afterwards.

I never thought Martha would have any interest in sex. Who knew? Like I said previously, Chip should have been banging her instead of trying to get with his wife.

I think he realized this after his "wife" turned him down again. Thats when he took Martha for a drive/date and discovered she slept with Dale.

I love how nonchalant Martha is about everything including sex. You get the feeling she could be talked into pretty much anything without much coaxing. "Ok, I guess were jumping off of this bridge now".

I came into this a few episodes in, but it still took 3 more before I caught on to them being named Chip and Dale.

Baskets (FX) -- Season 2 Thread -- premieres 1/19/17

The acclaimed FX comedy Baskets starring Zach Galifianakis will return for its second season on Thursday, January 19 at 10 PM ET/PT, it was announced today by Chuck Saftler, President of Program Strategy and COO, FX Networks. Baskets, co-created by Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel, launched last year as the most-watched basic cable primetime comedy series premiere since 2014. In season two, the Baskets family is at its most fragile. Losing his wife and his rodeo job, Chip (Zach Galifianakis) jumps on a train to get the hell out of Bakersfield, but a gang of gutter punks, the police, and a sudden death drag him right back into the drama he tried to escape. Dale's (Zach Galifianakis) marriage crumbles as his unrequited love affair with Martha (Martha Kelly) deepens, and Christine (Louie Anderson), who dedicated her life to her sons with little affection in return, takes her own happiness into consideration for once - and finds romance on the way.

Wow, some great renewal announcements this week. Season 2 has been great; it took me a while to adjust to this show and I think I finally did during the tail end of last season.

Glad it got renewed. The fight episode from this season was hilarious and the funniest thing they have done since the show started.

Yippie Kie Yay! The third season of Baskets, the acclaimed comedy series starring Zach Galifianakis, will return to FX on Tuesday, January 23, at 10 PM ET/PT. Nothing brings a family together like a family business - or at least that was the plan. Welcome to the Baskets Family Rodeo, where Christine is the President and CEO despite never having seen a rodeo before. Chip has his first full-time gig since Arby's, but can barely transfer a phone call, let alone recruit much-needed clowns. And even though Dale is the only one in the family who has run a business, he can't get anyone to listen to him - his family, the employees, or the horses.
