Almost Human -- "Arrhythmia" -- 12/16/13

Synopsis:

HEARTBREAKING TIMES AND CRIMES ON AN ALL-NEW "ALMOST HUMAN" MONDAY, DECEMBER 16, ON FOX

Detective John Kennex and Dorian respond to a suspicious death at a hospital where - before having a fatal cardiac arrest - a man claimed someone was trying to kill him, and inexplicably knew his exact time of death. As the investigation unfolds, a black market for vital organs is uncovered in which bio-mechanical hearts can be resold and remotely "shut off." As the team fights to find the pulse of this 2048 tech-centric crime, Dorian reconnects with a decommissioned DRN in the all-new "Arrhythmia" episode of ALMOST HUMAN airing Monday, Dec. 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (HU-103) (TV-14 L, V)

Another good one. Loved the "other Dorian" - especially the botched arrest and the girl asking if she could just leave.

Also the failing hearts was a pretty scary tech idea. And I liked their slick little cutter for the door. I love that stuff.

The show has turned a bit dark and dystopic. I like that. The use of drones are kinda scary and hits a hot topic button.

Good episode. This is turning out to be one of my favorite new shows. Should I even doubt Bad Robot.

that scene with the other DRN acting like a cop, and then the chain of events after was hilarious.

Yep, great episode. And agree with Ayre, getting a bit dark . Not sure if a lot of people would get that though, and would only care about the entertaining parts of the show.

Also, mixed feelings about they mix tech from today with the future. Don't remember what it was, but I was like "they still do that in the future???".

Really liked this one. The nightmare health care system was cool. The arrest gone wrong was funny. And I really liked how Other Dorian refused to take the gun at the end.

They made some tests to see who was crazy and who was normal. But I don't trust those tests.

Kennex face.

If you had "Holo-doctor" technology, why wouldn't those booths be everywhere?

In case you had to be admitted right away, contagious, etc. I would imagine.

I would think it cost a lot of money. Also real doctors would have to be on the scene. I can see them only being in places where doctors would be.

It struck me as basically a fancy version of WebMD. If something was really bad, you'd have to actually see a human doctor.

When they started going to brackrop scenes of the city with snippets of synth music I could swear they were going to play some Tangerine Dream. Nice little nod to Blade Runner there.

Loved this one. Kennex and is interactions with the 2 Dorians was hilarious. I agree the arrest by Dorian 2 and chain of events afterwards was hilarious.

I agree the score on the city backdrop scenes is really well done. It's a very cinematic score as said like Blade Runner.

Kind of a dark subject matter with the illegal organ harvesting. It's looking like Fox will keep this a 13 episode season and then they will launch 24 or Gang Related once this season concludes.
