Casting news for a future episode. Pretty well known TV villain actor:

Spoiler:

http://tvline.com/2013/12/11/arrow-c...lliam-tockman/

Robert Knepper, who is well-known for his run as Prison Break‘s slithery T-Bag and currently is busting heads on TNT’s Mob City, has been cast on The CW’s Arrow in the plum role of DC Comics master criminal William Tockman aka “Clock King.”

So what's the consensus on the guy playing Barry Allen? I kinda like him.

What a fantastic show... the team behind this writing and directing are top notch.

The guy playing Barry Allen is cool to me, but I cant wait to see more Slade.

Im going out and buying season 1 and cant wait to add season 2 to my collection.

Caught up on this series via a combination of Netflix, Hulu Plus, and paid Amazon episodes. What a great show.

Slade looks spot-on. It's amazing how many DC references and characters they can fit into these episodes, unlike the non-Marvel Marvel show.

Re: Arrow -- Mid-Season Finale -- "Three Ghosts" -- 12/11/13

Really loved Barry and am now actually even more pissed off he's not coming back for episode 20. Bring on the spin off!

Manu Bennett looked perfect as Slade. The eyepatch, the grey hair. The look was just right. I can't wait to see who they cast as Ra's Al Ghul.

Not sure how I feel about Red Arrow/Arsenal with super strength. I don't recall that happening in the comics. Did it? taffer?

Felicity, as always, looked perfect.

I loved this episode so much and I'm really looking forward to The Flash. Never read any of the comics. I was so sad when Shadow was killed and also pretty bummed that Slade wants to destroy his old friend.

So how exactly did Barry get his super-powers? The particle accelerator blew up, and it mixed with the chemicals on his shelf? I wasn't too clear on that.

Re: Arrow -- Mid-Season Finale -- "Three Ghosts" -- 12/11/13

Really liked the Barry stuff. Can't wait to see more of the Slade stuff too. I thought it was nice to see him get the mask too, is this the first comic book mask to actually be held on by a strap? I thought they mentioned earlier in the season that Shado got off the island, not that apparent obvious death means anything on here, it wouldn't surprise me if they somehow brought back Ollie's father.

I want to have this episode's babies. I absolutely loved Barry's origin and I like how he seems to be fairly grounded in more traditional comic book trappings. Roy seems to becoming Arsenal instead of another archer. Which is fine with me, until he loses an arm. I can't believe they killed off
Spoiler:
Shado.

Sucks we do have to wait longer to see Flash/Barry. Liked how it was Barry who gave him the new mask. I agree they seem to be going the Arsenal route with Roy.

Fuck this show is good.

So is DC smart and will make Arrow & Flash part of same universe as Man of Steel/Batman & Supermam/Justice League? If JL is going to have a Flash, won't it be less confusing to the audience to not have another Flash be introduced when there is one on TV.

BTW: They REALLY need to fix Laurel in the photo above. Doesn't even look like her. I'm guessing it is her.

I don't think so. I don't believe they want crossover.

I really like this show but thought this episode was a little scattered and unfocused. Was Ollie's encounter with Slade actually real as opposed to the others that were hallucinations?

It would be cool if Oliver really fought with Slade and just thought it was a hallucination.

I think DC would be smart to tie the tv universe with the movie universe. This could be the area where they blow Marvel away.

Combination of the original comics origin of being doused with chemicals while struck by lightning, with the added twist of being hit by the wave of the particle accelerator when it exploded, too.

In the comics, the result of which allows Barry to tap into an extra dimensional plane called the "Speed Force", from which he draws his powers.

In the most recent retcon, I believe Barry actually is the Speed Force. He's the source from which all superspeedsters get their power. It's a chicken/egg problem.

Re: Arrow -- Mid-Season Finale -- "Three Ghosts" -- 12/11/13

Wow this was a really great episode. Honestly it's a shame this couldn't be a three parter with the third part being the Flash pilot. I really grew to like Barry by the time these episodes were over and hopefully the pilot gets picked up for next season. I also liked how Barry was the one who gave Oliver his mask.

I was surprised they killed off Shado, especially after Sarah asked Oliver if they reconnected after the island. And man is the island stuff interesting now if she really is dead. How do Slade, Oliver and Sarah co-exist on the island? When does Sarah leave? What about the Deathstroke mask in the pilot?

Roy getting injected with the serum is interesting and I'd like to see where they take that storyline.

I liked how they referenced that Cyrus gold was "Created on a Saturday, died on a Sunday."

And man, does Bennett look bad ass as Slade Wilson! The facial hair, the eye patch, the gray hair everything looks spot on. Damn was that cool!

So ugh yeah, this episode was amazing. It's such a shame this show doesn't even get a third of the viewers of Agents of Shield, because this show deserves to be watched by more eyes.

Vlearly foreshadowing how Slade loses the eye.

Slade hade both eyes and black hair during the fight. I'm guessing hallucination.
