Re: Favorite "comfort" show?

Hmmm. Currently - Big Bang Theory (usually the only one I'll watch on TNT/TBS) ... previously SG-1 (and although it doesn't count, the Fifth Element when on).

Family Guy
The Simpsons
Scrubs
M*A*S*H
Seinfeld

Speaking of Scrubs I've recently discovered the show Psych. I'm overjoyed watching it because I feel like its a spiritual sequel to Scrubs! It's as if J.D. And Turk left their jobs as doctors to become detectives.

I just got the first four seasons on Blu ray. There's just something (actually a lot of somethings) about this show that is so appealing and comforting, like being a with a wise and witty friend.

Re: Favorite "comfort" show?

I would say original Law & Order although I don't mind CI and SVU. It's the only show I can re watch and even find myself streaming when I need something on.

I like how Melfi is separated from the family and sort of hidden behind the door. Where Tony goes to tell his "secrets".

Pawn Stars for sure. I can enjoy a lazy Saturday afternoon just marathoning that show. Back in the day, it was the 6:30 after dinner game shows like Wheel of Fortune.

Re: Favorite "comfort" show?

The Big Bang Theory. It can be crass at time and it gets a lot of flak for laughing at us nerds rather than with us, but I still find myself laughing at it fairly frequently.
