Any Simpsons from the 90's and Seinfeld. I always put these on when I'm sick in bed and just let the DVD's play. I never get tired of them.

Re: Favorite "comfort" show?

I was going to say Seinfeld. If not that, it would some other comedy favorite (Cheers, The Office, etc).

Re: Favorite "comfort" show?

Kidding aside, I think Hot in Cleveland on TV Land is a cool comfort show.

Consistently funny with 3 attractive and funny older women. Of course Betty White is still awesome at 100 years old.

Also, Mystery Science Theater 3000. Some of my favorite episodes I could just watch over and over.

I absolutely love that show and have since Joel was on the air in the early 90's, but I find I have to be wide awake to watch it. I don't like watching it if I'm tired or not feeling well because I miss too much.

The nice thing about that show is there are tons of episodes I have never seen yet so as these DVD's cone out it's like the show never ended.

Seinfeld is a good one. I also love Cheers, but isn't on too often. I can watch the older Friends too.

Re: Favorite "comfort" show?

Seinfeld, Cheers and Friends are the easy answers since all three are on 24 hours a day, and I agree with all three.

I'll toss in Sports Night. I always take my DVD set on vacation just to have handy. Ran across it on tv the other day (no idea any channel was running it) right at the "Shoe money tonight!" scene and had to watch. Just in time to catch the absolute brilliant performance between Josh Malina and Sabrina Lloyd:

Half an episode wasn't enough though, ended up sitting through the next one where Casey "learns the names." Again, just brilliant a brilliant moment with two excellent performances (Krause & Janel Maloney):

Re: Favorite "comfort" show?

I go through phases. It's been Seinfeld in the past, then Scrubs, then King of Queens but now it is Big Bang Theory.

Re: Favorite "comfort" show?

For me it's Scrubs, Friends, and (don't laugh) Reba.
