American Dad! is easily the funniest thing from Fox's Animation Domination, even topping The Simpsons in its current form.

Yup, I get that. I don't think the initial question is solely based on TV ratings/viewership.

Breaking Bad had criminally low ratings for most of its run, yet online message boards and 'water cooler' talk were widespread.

I'd have to go with:

Banshee and Strike Back: Seriously, the production value in these two shows is amazing. SB is easily the best action series currently on TV, and Banshee while far fetched is close behind it. I think what mainly hurts it is being on the sister channel of HBO, and the fact that people still think of Cinemax as nothing more than late night soft core porn.

Arrow: This is criminally underrated. I know people who are obsessed with Agents of Shield and talk about how amazing it is, but when I say they should watch Arrow because it's an awesome show I just get a "meh" response.

Nikita: Even though I didn't like some of what they did last season (hello stupid hand storyline) it blows my mind just how unappreciated this show is. It has great action, hot chicks, and an interesting storyline. It was hurt though appearing on the CW when Dawn Ostroff had her "no men allowed" mantra going.

Person of Interest: Another great show which despite always pulling good ratings, just seems to be ignored by the mainstream.

I voted:

Parenthood, historically underrated. This season hasn't been that good though. At least compared to the previous ones.

Continuum, such a great sci-fi show, with great writing and acting.

Other: The Americans. I just love that show. Every time I see the commercials announcing the new season I get so excited.

I voted Strike Back. The only other show on that list that I've seen is Castle and it's probably a little overrated if anything. Still a solid show though.

Episodes on Showtime with Matt LeBlanc is another one that just crossed my mind.

You could hear crickets chirping in the threads the last 2 seasons, but it's one of the funniest comedies on right now.

To each their own, but Banshee was not even the slightest bit boring.

Plus, there were 2 smoking chicks and lots of gratuitous sex and nudity. And the gore in the fight scenes (which you probably didn't see) was awesome.

^ Good call on Longmire. I'm still catching up on season 2, but it's a solid show. From what I can tell, I think it does well with the older demographic. The only people I know who watch it (besides me and a few on this board) seem to all be over 50. :lol: It must give off a CBS vibe.

Pretty much everything's been mentioned, but I'll add White Collar. A consistently fun, entertaining show.

It's popular around here, but Justified gets lost in the shuffle when it comes awards and critical buzz, which is a shame.

Kind of a stretch because I'm guessing it was popular in France when it originally aired, but The Returned (Les Revenants) airing on the Sundance channel right now is awesome. I can understand why it hasn't found a larger audience, but it deserves as much as it can get. Hopefully some of you will check it out.

I'm also a pretty big fan of Comedy Bang Bang, those guys just crack me up.

You can add The Returned to my list as well. I'm a couple episodes behind, but what I have seen has been excellent. I'm tempted to hold out until 1/21 to just buy the blu-ray, instead of watching it in SD on Sundance.

Orphan Black. What they are able to pull off with Orphan Black is mind boggling. That actress deserved all the emmies. ALL OF THEM. But because of the premise, I have a difficult time getting people to watch the show because it really shouldn't work.

sad to say since I'm a fan of Parks and Rec. but that show is running itself into the ground - what is up with NBC and it's comedies lately - their must see Thursday lineup is really really weak.

I've been praising Mindy since day one.
