... and here he is with One Direction:

It would be nice to know what you thought was cool, but unless someone was watching the show live while updating this thread, they'd have no idea.

Can you provide more context? Thanks!

Can't say I found any of it good tonight. Why bother having a new episode when they just keep recycling the same bits over and over again?

Because it's easy & everybody still gets paid! It amazes me sometimes that there are actually people who write this stuff. And it's their job.

I thought Rudd was great as the host. Usual amount of laughs that SNL provides.

WU was hilarious to me. Couldn't stop laughing at the Jebadiah Atkins bit. White Christmas was funny too.

I fell asleep after WU, so I'll have to Hulu the rest. I loved the first half of the show.

The "ringtone" bit was a bit forced.

Jewish kid was great as usual... and with Seth exiting soon, it was touching.

The Jebidiah Atkinson posted online is funnier than the version that aired. It must be from the afternoon dress rehearsal:

Re: SNL -- 12/07/13 -- H: Paul Rudd -- MG: One Direction

Was the audience mostly composed of 12 year girls who came just to see One Direction?

There was some funny stuff with no laughter and I thought there would be huge applause for Bill Brasky!

Maybe that was before their time.

The guy wearing a gold chain with a turtleneck during the Tyler Perry spoof lol.

However, not everyone was so happy to see it. Tim Meadows, who had appeared in four Brasky sketches previously, took to his Facebook page to say how hurt he was not to be invited back for it and that he'd never watch the show again. He put it this way, "I guess it just dawned on me that I mean NOTHING to them ... I'm just being overly sensitive. It doesn't matter in the long run. I'm grateful for what they did for me. But everyone [sic] in a while as a fan and a alumni, it stings a little to not even be considered as someone they would like to come back around."

However, after some time, some supportive comments from Laraine Newman and Chris Rock (ex-SNLers comment on each other's Facebooks!), and a couple mimosas, it appears Meadows has come to terms with it, saying, "I talked to a friend on the show who said it WAS a last minute sketch. I acted like a baby. I'm happy for all of my friends success and will always be grateful and proud to have been a part of SNL."

Anyone else feel a little uncomfortable when Rudd yelled "I say One Di"you say "rection" in front of a bunch of little girls?

Fuck Tim Meadows. If anyone should be wondering why they were not asked to be in the sketch, it should be Alec Baldwin or Mark McKinney. Meadows was in ONE Brasky sketch, and he wasn't even one of the main players. He had one line in the background and then went back and sat down. What a whiny little bitch. I don't care how many years he was on the show, he was always mediocre, and most likely still is.

That was the point.

Also: The lack of energy during the Kristen Wiig and Fred Armisen cameos was uncomfortable. Nobody in the crowd seemed to care.

They probably didn't even realize that they were no longer on the show. I know that I forgot Armisen was.

Tim Meadows apologized but except for the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Walk The Line, and some Sandler movies you never see him.

Kyle Mooney is blowing up and doing commercials with Mindy Kaling

I know I checked the beginning of the opening credits to see if he was listed before I fast forwarded through the rest.

And I was surprised by One Direction. While not my cup of tea, they were inifinitely better than the wretched Arcade Fire.
