The Clinton/Lois bed scene was funny, but the Clinton/Peter bed scene got the biggest laugh out of me.

"What a dumbass! Let's spit on it!"

I liked how neither Stewie nor Brian understood how the toilet works and both ran when it flushed.

And when the family was at the aquarium, I was SO hoping for a manatee reference. :)

I was thinking the same thing:

And over here we have manatee's playing with some balls - or something like that.

They missed a great opportunity to poke fun at themselves

Best would've been having Peter say "Remember that time I wrote a sitcom with manatees" and then show a cutaway with him in the tank with some manatees discussing inane plot devices of "Three's Company" or some similarly bad sitcom.

"Hey Boy, don't you be walking past this house."
"You're ignorant!"

Shipwreck 03-12-07 03:54 PM

"I'm going to call you Mr Stickyhead. I love you Mr Stickyhead!"

I don't remember exactly what happened, but Brian once did something bad to Peter, or didn't prevent something bad from happening to Peter, and after it happened he yelled something along the lines of "and that's for rolling up the window of the General Lee" in reference to when Peter did just that before Brian tried to jump in the car.

I just watched this episode for the first time, and I loved every second of it. It's quite possibly my second favorite episode of the show ever.

that pig eating scene was hilarious.

I thought that was the funniest part.

Speaking of which it is time for this threads special musical guest, Mr. Conway Twitty.

That gag had to be pretty high on the "manatee scale", I'd say. I did laugh though.

Funny show overall, especially Bill Clinton doing DDR to Barbie Girl. What I wouldn't give for an animated gif of that (preferably under 125x125 pixels... ;))

I just read this at The Smoking Gun and had to bump this thread - Carol Burnett v. Family Guy: Comedienne sues over porn shop spoof of beloved charwoman character. $6 million!

Sorry, Ms. Burnett, you aren't suing the National Enquirer this time around, you're suing FOX...and you don't have a leg to stand on. It SHOULD be thrown out of court, but it probably won't be...I hope FOX stands up and defends it's right to spoof celebs on FAMILY GUY, but something tells me this will be settled out of court, and this episode will be altered someway in future airings.

Parody is protected speech so she's shit out of luck.

That's not entirely true. The general rule is that parodies are okay, because a bunch of decisions have allowed parodies. But there's no hardline rule that all parodies are okay. It depends on the specific facts of each case. In this case, however, the facts are really, really bad for Burnett.

Achtung 03-19-07 03:33 PM

This reminds me of the FG where they made some joke about Alyssa Milano and then they cut to a shot of her calling it a "cheapshot" and her lawyer calling them to sue.

Except this is apprently real.

Slayer2005 03-19-07 07:35 PM

She should be ashamed of herself. This is pathetic. She must really need the money.

milo bloom 03-19-07 07:50 PM

I loved the Carol Burnett show and Mama's Family growing up, and it makes me very sad to see her doing this. Everyone and anyone is a target for Family Guy, what makes her so special?
