I had a lot of fun with it. It seemed a lot manatee-centric than some of the past episodes and that's always a good thing. Yeah the actor and the Hitler one weren't very good, but I really liked the other stories. The Godfather part was hilarious.

Legolas 05-15-06 01:15 AM

I can't help but think of the way South Park accurately bashed/lampooned Family Guy every time I watch now. :(

Me too. I've been told that makes us "too easily influenced".

Pretty crappy episode all around this week regardless.

This episode was everything wrong with Family Guy in a nutshell. Awful episode. Only the Meatballs gag even made me smile.

I think those scenes would have been funnier and more unexpected if:

B. The Hitler scene had been in his bunker, and Peter's relative accidently shot Hitler when he was playing with the gun...

...both of which I was expecting the entire time. Was rather surprised that neither scenario got used.

I was also expecting Peter to lower the rifle in the second "Blackeye" spot to reveal a gaping shotgun blast wound.

Coulda made it a lot funnier.

Mopower 05-15-06 11:14 AM

"Mancow in the morning!"

Strafe 05-15-06 11:18 AM

Wow a Meatballs reference! I thought I was the only person who saw that movie.

majorjoe23 05-15-06 11:50 AM

Really? You thought you were the only person to see a Bill Murray movie? If it had been "Larger Than Life," maybe I could understand, but Meatballs?

Eric F 05-15-06 02:54 PM

Sad when we have funnier ideas than the writers.

I thought American Dad was much funnier this week, and I usually don't like that show.

Jason 05-15-06 04:46 PM

I thought the Genie joke (for those in Kansas) was funnier than the whole Simpsons episode that preceeded it, but overall it was just sort of "meh".

I do enjoy the Meg bashing.

Bill Needle 05-15-06 06:50 PM

60 seconds of Meg bashing and the Godfather riff were the only funny bits. A bad end to a somewhat disappointing comeback season.

ChrisHicks 05-15-06 07:03 PM

when I start cleaning out all my season passes of cancelled shows I'm going to have to try really hard to not delete this show.

Well it's not like the show just started being that way since the South Park episode. It has been like that for a long time now, and is why Family Guy has been mostly forgettable for me. I still watch it (albiet usually days/weeks later on Tivo), and I can find individual jokes funny, but I honestly couldn't tell you a plot from the past 3 seasons or what jokes were in what episodes. They all blur together.

edytwinky 05-16-06 12:10 AM

A little less than average show but not the WORST.

I think American Dad is funnier than FG 9 times out of 10 lately. American Dad was horrible when it started over the summer.... but with this second part of the season, I almost always enjoy AD over FG. I would have never predicted this. Roger is funnier than anything that has happened on the FG in a long time. I don't think I will be buying anymore FG dvds.

PJsig08 05-16-06 05:28 PM

That whole Godfather part at the end was very funny.

AKA Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story DVD that was released in September of last year.

aktick 05-21-06 09:31 AM

So all 3 "episodes" (not sure if it's actually 3 separate ones?) are new?

Yes, they are 3 separate episodes and they are new in the fact that it has never aired on TV before.

As stated earlier, the DVD contains all 3 episodes plus the "racier" material that will probably not be included on tonight's broadcast.

mikehunt 05-21-06 10:22 AM

meh
The untold story wasn't really that great

Lateralus 05-21-06 11:28 AM

It was horrible. Also the movie proved that the everyday life situations of Family Guy only work (more or less :D) in form of episodes. So I have my doubts for the Simpsons movie.

Lateralus 05-21-06 03:29 PM

NOw what sucks is I have to pay for Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story twice, once when I bought the DVD and next time when I buy the season.
