I really liked this episode. It was better the 2nd time around. I missed this the first time:
Stewie: "You know perhaps, you should worry a little less about your pride and a little more about the creepy crawlies Shawshanking their way out of your balloon knot."

msdmoney 07-25-05 02:44 PM

The cookie monster scene had my rolling, and of course any time stewie is in a position of power, it's gauranteed funny.

The cookie monster scene was classic.

I loved the Jodie Foster scene: "Maybe I was wrong about you.....maybe I was wrong about all men"

I forgot another part I laughed at: "You're looking for an Ass Race!"

Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn
Star Trek spoof maybe?

movieking 09-11-05 06:30 PM

Pretty good episode, better than the Simpsons premiere.

The Star Trek bit was towards the end, and wasn't very good, although I liked the Rocky Dennis line. The Stewie storyline went nowhere, which was too bad because it had promise, especially since it was dealing with the overrated Da Vinci Code. I thought that Brian was the most entertaining of the episode

Deftones 09-11-05 06:34 PM

I thought they were pulling this episode due to hurricane references.

mikehunt 09-11-05 07:03 PM

different ep I think

peter to lois: "are you high?"
lois to peter: "not anymore, I crashed hours ago."

I didn't get the reference to the sheep and meg's time of the month

invisiblegt 09-11-05 08:27 PM

I'm not a dog you fat bastard!

Stewie and the prostitutes: "Hey. Hey. Where's my money? Don't walk away from me."

"Where's James Wood?"
"Well, it turns out he wasn't very good at catching things with his mouth. Where's the girlfriend?"
"Uh, same problem."
"Uuuwhoooaaaa."

I personally enjoyed the Star Trek bit, 'though I like the show. And, the guy doing Riker's voice was good, considering it wasn't Johnathan Frakes. "Suck my ridges..." And Rocky Dennis.

(And, question: What was the end a reference to? For the life of me, I cannot remember...)

MrX 09-11-05 08:30 PM

It's the closing scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark

Snowmaker 09-11-05 08:46 PM

Stewie playing Marco Polo with Helen Keller had me cracking up too, the way he kept swimming around.

Lateralus 09-11-05 09:05 PM

Marco...marco...marco...marco...marco...marco...marco.

I think James Woods needs his own animated show.

As per the credits, that was Jonathan Frakes.

I think it had something to do with her flow, if you know what I mean....

My mistake then. I had gone on IMDB to find out who was doing the voice of Shauna, and it said that a man by the name of John Viener was doing the voice of Riker...

Then again, I suppose that's what I get for blindly trusting IMDB.

Lateralus 09-11-05 09:47 PM

Good episode, but I liked American Dad better.

No, I still don't get it either. What does her period have to do with the sheep?

I took it as a reference to Barney taking a dump in the large-billed bird earlier. The sheep was expressing similar agony.

I think it had more to do with the Flintstones and how the animals always complain like the earlier Barney on the "toilet" bit.
