Do some networks put longer versions of tv show episodes on their website when compared to the version which was broadcast ?

E.g. Sons of Anarchy, Walking Dead etc

NBC has done it sometimes for shows like Parks & Rec.

AMC doesn't put Walking Dead on its website, just places like iTunes at broadcast length.

FX is already doing 90 minute episodes of Sons. I don't think they could make them any longer unless they started adding in scenes of Jax organizing his junk drawer or something.

and it would still be better than the Dexter finale.

WWE repeats of Raw on Hulu actually get cut down as opposed to being expanded. Some shows put deleted scenes online, but not added to the episode (SVU has done this).

As far as I know, only Parks and Recreation and The Office released extended cuts on Hulu.com.

The only drama that I can think of that released an extended cut of an episode online was The Vampire Diaries. They released a longer version of The Originals backdoor pilot, which was an episode last season.

Other than that, I don't know of any drama that's released extended cuts on the internet. You may see some extended cuts on the DVD/BD when they are released.

Actually AMC has started doing it with the The Walking Dead.

If you missed the excitement, amc.com is now streaming the full Season 4 Premiere, "30 Days Without an Accident," online. This is the ONLY episode being made available without a log-in requirement. Future episodes of The Walking Dead will be available on amc.com the day after broadcast and accessible via log-in for select cable providers.

I haven't watched the season premiere online so I don't know if they have added stuff to the episode to make it longer online.
