Will Ichabod ever wear modern cloth? Its the only thing bugging me about the show... and that Abbie is like 5 ft.

Abbie mentioned about getting him into new clothes so maybe soon.

This episode was pretty out there. How were they going to explain how "John Doe" disappeared?

At the same time they realize John Cho's character's body is gone?

5ft is really being nice. she is super short and wears heels all the time, even when running. They need to put the man into modern cloth. really. after the first night dude should have been give new clothes. But I liked last night's episode. It introduced another horseman. What I would like to know is how Sleepy Hollow the town comes to be so important.

I know it's all part of the show but when you have an entire hospital and CDC trying to help a child, you can't sweep THAT under the rug. I guess I was hoping they'd find a neat way for the writers to resolve it.

I'm guessing whoever Captain Orlando Jones is working for is hard at work covering everything up.

They did resolve it. Everyone was healed at the end. I didn't think much of the episode. Aside from introducing another Horseman, it was just a supernatural version of a House.

see, I was discussing this with a coworker, in the first episode it looked like it was involved with the demons/baddies etc. but since then, he has been kind of by the books type of boss. Seems weird but hard to say. But I'm sure like you he is working for someone.

I can't stand the ex boyfirend, what an annoying character.

My favorite ep so far. Abbie & Crane worked off each other perfectly here. And as TomOpus said, Abbie did indeed mention about changing Crane's wardrobe at the beginning in the cabin.

I'm still sticking with this so far. Yeah, it's disjointed as hell and requires tons of suspension of disbelief and is basically a low-rent Supernatural, but the production values are good and I kind of like the chemistry with the cast. I'll stick with it a while longer, maybe Kurtzman and Orci will turn their cards over and have a knockout.

Re: Sleepy Hollow -- "John Doe" -- 10/14/13

Middle English had dropped out of common usage 40 some years before Roanoke was founded so that bit bothered me although any exposure of language origins in popular culture should count for something. Here's a link to the colony charter which shows how close their language was to modern English.

That aside, I was prepared to hate this episode as I thought they were going the route of an unchanged colony that had been hidden for 400 years but instead they managed to avoid that pitfall. I'm still digging the show stinky clothes, short chicks and all.

Is it believable that someone the age/education level of Mills had never heard of the Lost Colony before?

There's an article on EW.com about characters wearing the same clothes constantly. Sleepy Hollow is on the list and they've said they have no plans for getting Crane out of the outfit anytime soon as they want to keep him wearing it to show he's always a man not completely fitting in with the modern world.

Weird a show like this not having a Halloween type episode. Would have been neat to see Cranes reaction to Halloween overall. Girls/Women dressed up as witches, kids dress up as Headless Horseman as a joke etc - heck that could be the killer for the week.

The ALCS ends on Sunday with the World Series starting next Wednesday, they could have showed a episode on Monday. I guess FOX wanted nothing new on Monday just in case Game #6 or Game #7 (if played) are postponed due to rain and thus forcing a Game #7 be played then.

Despite the ridiculous premise, I'm really enjoying this show. I think the two leads really sell the material, and the production values and visual effects are pretty good. It doesn't take itself too seriously, and I love the fish-out-of-water moments with Ichabod. 11/4 can't get here soon enough.
