Krysten Ritter, Alexandra Daddario and Jessica De Gouw from Arrow are the most notable actors testing for Jessica Jones.

Mike Colter from The Good Wife and Lance Gross from Crisis are being considered for Luke Cage.

Alexandria Daddario as long as she shows those sweet, sweet cans again.

Hmmm.... I like all 3 of those actresses. As much as we all love Daddario boobs, I think Ritter would be a better fit.

Ritter is the one who strikes me as being least like the character. Just based off looks, I would go with Colter over Gross.

More Daddario is always good.

UPDATE: I hear another actress has been added to the list of those testing for the lead in Marvel/Netflix’s Jessica Jones series, The Divide star Marin Ireland, who just became available after the WEtv drama was cancelled. I’ve also updated the list of candidates for the part of Luke Cage with a third name, Cleo Anthony.

Cool casting. Reminded me of the martial arts flick he did way back in '82 called "The Challenge" with choreography by Steven Seagal. Really cool flick if you can find it. I think it's available elsewhere but here.

hmm, i actually liked ritter the least of the rumored casting... Oh well, I'll still give it a shot, i'm sure.

Good for her. Been a fan of hers since Veronica Mars.

yeah, she's very hit or miss for me. more miss honestly. but i give them the benefit of the doubt with any marvel casting.

I haven't been a fan of Ritter, at least from the things i've seen her in. But like Deftones, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt until I see otherwise.

Ugh. I just don't care for Ritter. Bummer as I love the original Alias comics but I just can't see her as the character myself.

I wanted daddario, with multiple topless scenes.

She must have wowed them in auditions, because I thought she was the worst pick from amongst the group vying for the role.

Great news about the Luke Cage pick. Colter is great on The Good Wife.

Hes also good in Halo Nightfall. As for Ritter, shes sorta meh. I was hoping for Daddario.

I typically see Ritter as just that bitchy girl who has a massive attitude. And that's not what I really see in Jessica Jones. So hey, that was an odd choice, especially when they had Alexandra Daddario right there. but I guess we'll see.

Maybe Daddario didn't agree to their terms during negotiations. Marvel is probably low-balling these actors for the TV shows.

I wouldn't blame her if Marvel offered her a raw deal, but she's not a huge star either, so I can't imagine she could demand a huge price.

I'm just saying negotiations go both ways, and big properties like Marvel typically don't pay actors as much because it's such a huge career boost just to be a part of the franchise. Talking about television, the pay is even lower, and often comes with a contract that can tie an actor up for over 5 years. A lot of people are disappointed with Ritter, well that doesn't necessarily mean she was their favorite pick, but the only one who was willing to accept their terms.

I believe Ritter lives in Brooklyn too, as I've seen her around there. Maybe that helped since they are filming in NYC as well, and wouldn't have to pay room and board for someone else.
